Felling and skidding rotten red oak

First new video for the new year! It is that time to cut fire wood before we run out and get cold. Dropped some dead red oak that has been dead for more than a few years now. They died before this property was in my ownership or they would have been shipped to the mill before they got too bad. Enjoy and please like!!!!

I saw the mouse. That 3rd tree was pretty big, made me nervous when you were cutting it. Cool cam angle on the winch 👍😎😊

What method of cutting are you using?

I’m not sure what it’s really called. I think it’s plunge cutting or maybe bore cut. Same way timber cutters around here do it. I like to cut the heart out to keep it from barber chairing on me.
