Mega Man 12???

My first mega man game was 4. Then I played 2. I was very spoiled lol.

I just went through the entire series again. I found MM7 to be the least enjoyable by far. Mega Man being such a big sprite really ruins that game. I expected MM8 to be the worst but I found myself enjoying it more than MM7. Also, I'm starting to really love MM9. I beat it 3 times this past week. I found it very easy though and I had remembered it being tough. I was far more frustrated with MM10 this time. And MM2 being ranked at #7 and below something like MM7? That has to just be for shock value.

Is weird seeing the US box art and seeing MM shooting from a gun and not his Buster.

I’m really upset that Time Man and Oil Man wasn’t in the 1st one for NES. They haven’t come up with them until later. If only a Time Machine could exist I would tell Capcom about the situation and it will change all the merchandise about the 1st adventure of MegaMan.

The water shield is really strong in this game. For example on that castle mid boss it rips it apart quickly doing 6-8 hits per use

i just finished this game and my only real complaint was the slime mets and the variety of enemies that simply attempt to overlap your sprite as an attack. The axes in blade man's stage, the spider robots, and the square robots that divide themselves all had this same kamizaze style and they just remain overlapping with mega man after you get hit during your invulnerability. It can be frustrating trying to move away from them to shoot them because they will try to remain on top of you.

The long corridors made this one so dull compared to the rest of the classic series

Also the double gear system was created before the events of the first Mega Man game back when they were collage students.

As a non Mega Man fan, I never understood what was so special about Mega Man 2.

I'm glad you gave Mega Man 9 the appreciation it deserves; it's my favorite (official) game in the series.

I think MegaMan powered up suffered from the same stuff another Capcom game had: redesign. Mighty Pang has the same "cute" design that powered up has... Which makes boys to ditch the game, and the difficult of these games also alienates girly girls which would like this designs.

MMX2 is definitely an improvement over MMX1. I have only completed five of the Mega Man X games. My ranking of the X games are MMX4 > MMX2 > MMX1 > MMX3 > MMX5.

My ranking of the Classic Mega Man games are MM11> MM7 > MM10 > MM5 > MM6 > MM4 > MM3 > MM9 > MM2 > MM8 > MM1 > MM&B.

MM7 used to be my favorite Classic Mega Man until I played MM11. 7 had everything I wanted in a Mega Man game.

Rockman 8 will always be the best for me because of the gameplay, features, and music. Challenge is not too easy and not too difficult. But I love all Rockman/Megaman including X!

I think you can play both of these with a certain ps2 collection game. Its Japanese only though :(

You missed a very important fact. If you press start on Shade man normally his regular music plays which is much better 😊

And in terms of the Rocket Boarding Sections, Those Indicators also have a small secret that's meant to help the user Jump or slide perfectly, which is when the Light Flashes and you are more towards the left middle of the screen.

Mega man 3 is the best mega man ever made. There is a clear and huge difference in mega man games with part 4 and later. The gameplay is rough and extra hard, the music is awful, the characters are not fun, and nothing is very engaging. The feel is totally off unlike how part 1, 2, and 3 were so great and smooth.

Always hated 3. I never understood what people saw in it. The story is so poorly presented to the point of near comedy, which wasn't a massive deal in the first two games since they didn't really have a plot beyond Wily being bad and needing to stop him, but 3 gets has a whole lot of story and shows very little of it. The Doc Robot stages kill the pacing. I don't know who plays the Robot Master stages and says "Wow! I want to do that all again with worse level design and shittier versions of the bosses from the last game!" It doesn't help that they're followed up by the abysmally average Wily castle 3, which is not only a massive drop in difficulty, but also suffers from rehash syndrome. Half of the Wily Castle bosses are just worse versions of the Wily bosses from 1, and the other half are piss easy. I genuinely cannot think of a single reason to play 3 past the eight Robot Masters. That's probably 3's biggest issue. All of it's content is either worse versions of things from the last two games, or would be done far better in it's sequels. I cannot think of a single reason to pick 3 over any of the games after it if I tried. Hell, I'd rather play Mega Man 3 on Dos. It controls infinitely worse, but it's not an experience I can get better from the game right next to it like the NES version. No disrespect to people who like 3, though. God knows the games I grew up with weren't as perfect as I remember them.

Mega Man 2 is what started it all for me over 30 years ago and will always be my favorite, though it is definitely a flawed masterpiece, but the OST is among the all time greats alongside other Capcom titles of the era (. 11 is really pretty amazing, it became my son's gateway, it I love it as much as him, and 8 is my dark horse favorite where I love it and am well aware it is not a critical reference point for the series. Best select screen music too imo. Good, and very reasonable. You made 2 being in 7th place make enough sense to where I disagree, but am very bad at the perfect balance of subjectivity and objectivity. Great video my guy.

im pretty sure mega man 5 brought antigravity to the table so im not sure its as plain as people think it is.

I love it too. It's such a weird entry. It almost feels like vaporwave vibes, and the art style is something I had to learn to love, but I do love it now

I love this game. I prefer the weapons you get in MM8, which is much quirkier and weirder, but 7 is better bc it's just pure and perfectly distilled Mega Man. I love the classic designs. The X series is definitely "cooler", but classic Mega Man has such a comforting design, and this SNES entry has really aged well, in ways that the NES ones couldn't. Also, the Super NES could make it so colorful
