Since you're in lightburn, you don't need to toggle the power outputs. You can just enable the "Cut selected graphics" and click each line as you want to run that test. Easy peezy. Good info on doing the test though.

is there a trick to square the head to the table. Ive crashed mine into the x axis a few times due to incorrect ruida parameters and knocked the laser head crooked.

Great video. Got the American phonics one. Could you do a video on setting focal distances for all the lenses? Are they the same? 2.0 2.5 4.0. The test cut files provided by omtech do not work with them how the videos ive seen to compare with standard. Seems to need more power? First c02 laser! Managed to get it cut 3mm basswood provided by omtech but at 20/60 which seems high??? I used their focal gauge

Looks to me like you swapped the first and second pulse when you explained the markings. The darker one that's higher and to the left was the second pulse. Unless I'm missing something.

In moving the bed up and down ,my laser is in center but is not coming in one dot , at some point is big circle and at some point is the dot . It is my first time using co2 laser

Omtech just sent me a new laser tube but How would you remove the water from the old laser tube and do you have to cut the rubber tubes cause it is on there pretty tight.

Great video but please wear gloves, I've been around industrial lasers for the past 25 years, yes these are tiny low powered hobby machines but the lens coats are extremely toxic.

I used all of the suggested materials on my Omtech 60 watt machine and it worked great for a couple of hours then my DC power supply overloaded and died. Omtech used a 7amp power supply. I ordered a 25 watt unit on amazon and I'm back up and running. I'd be a little careful with this.

why shim the tube? doesn't mirror 3 have adjustments available on it where you can move the part to center the beam in the hole?

I have this setting now. But how about when i want to do a manual focus. (have an thikker material than 17 mm , so have to remove the honeycomb. How will i do that? I don't enter a material thickness, and then?

Does it matter that the pulse is not dead center when you put the tape over the nozzle? Still within the circle, just a little off.

Many of the OMTech lasers have an LCD on the power supply showing the output...

omtech polar fleece does not engrave cleanly. I turn off air assistant through lightburn but it still works. What is your advice regarding this?

To me the problem with Omtech Polar is that you can't really buy the tube. They don't sell it on their website. And when I reached out to Omtech, they said that the tube is Yongli T10 which was specially customized for the Polar machine and that they can provide a replacement while the machine is under warranty, but they don't sell it otherwise. Which basically means if the warranty has expired or if you got a second-hand machine and the tube died, you are in trouble. Omtech doing such thing isn't cool in my opinion.

Hey sir help I did not know I had to put tube in how far in do I have to align it the laserbeam afterwards or what’s going on no instructions with this

What size allen wrench did you use to get the shroud over the tube off? I'm going crazy trying to figure it out, as neither of my metric or standard sets have the correct size.

Great video. I only have a diode laser, and in Lightburn I can set the power to 2-3% and then fire / frame with the laser and I see the laser dot move around, is this possible with the Polar?
