- This video is intended to show laser owners how to upgrade or add additional 24v LED light strips to the inside of their laser work space.
This not only improves visibility, but allows content creators to have additional lighting for their laser recordings.
NOTE: LED Strips must be 24v. 12V can damage your system.

Thank you!
Thanks that was easy to understand
Looking good my man!
Thanks Chris!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Good video I need to do something like this on my cnc.
That's the nice thing about these LED's. They can go pretty much anywhere.
Yeah, I need to do this, been putting it off long enough....
This was one of the first upgrades I did to my laser. That one little strip of light in the back is almost a joke.
muito bom o seu video. farei em nossa maquina 3020.obrigado
If i have a chiller, would a flow switch sensor not be needed?
Hey Cam! We just got our omtech laser and want to add the lights but we don't have lights on our machine can we do this the same way?
I have a 100w red & black engraver (does not say OMTech). Would I use the 24v light strip also?
I commented on your Facebook post yesterday and ordered them too, hoping this works on my 60w OMTech. I do wonder though if going around twice (if there’s enough left) would be overkill?
Are you saying because of the extra length? You can trim it as necessary. You don't have to use the full length.
What color and size did you get?
very easy to follow! what is the benefit of these lights?
The workspace in the laser is real dark. Add light helps you clearly see your designs. If your someone that likes to record what your making on video, this will absolutely brighten up your space.

Cam, is the power supply strong enough you could just parallel the connector to the existing LED strip already installed or do you need to take the factory one out of the circuit?
Yes just make sure the new led strip is 24 volts
Man, I want a laser.
Do it! Get one!
this video is 2 yrs old. I just bought a MF2028-100 and it doesnt have any leds. Did i get a much older model? Or diid they stop adding LEDS?
Yep, they’ve changed it up over the years. Check under the gantry. They have been mounting the mid led strip under their. Regardless you can run you’re own wire and connect it to the 24v power supply
I ordered the lights you linked too. But they have 5 wires. Not just black and red. Will they still work.
I have the same ones. Wondering the same thing. I’ll report back if/when I find the answer.
@@aprilwanner just realized the exact same thing tonight and came to the comments to check
Would the color changing light strips work?
Absolutely. Just make sure they're 24v strips
Did you remove the original LEDs that were on the back side of the machine?
Nope, I left them there. They're higher up in the cavity of the laser so you don't see them. You could technically splice them in and use it the existing strip as well
@@EdmondsWoodshop thanks man....good videos.
What laser model is this?
