Just a side note... if you buy the combat patrol then you get the bodies of 3 more plague Marines on the sprue with the poxwalkers. You just need to be a bit creative and use a little greenstuff to make random weapons and torso fit exact.

I want to start a Death Guard army in 10th but have the feeling that the box contents no longer reflects the equipment options in the index (or vice versa). How do I distinguish the bubotic weapons from the heavy plague weapons? What does the flail of corruption count as? And all the champion models are equipped with powerfists, which are no longer a valid option. I'd really like to start building and painting my miniatures before the codex comes out, but am reluctant to build models that may turn out useless.

Thx i hope new Death Guard Players will have an easier start with the video into the Hobby. Most time i forgot to use the building instructions and than build the modells by try and error 😂 I think if you stick to the instructions it cost you less time and glued fingers but it was fun to create some new Body combinations. 😎

I used the Icon as bubotic weapons,with a blade in the opposite hand.

I just played a very close game and won with 85:68. Without sticky objectives it would have been a very clear loss, so the new detachment isn't worth it to me personally. Sticky objectives can be so crucial depending which cards you drew.

Give blightlords -1 dmg. Make their purpose to tank

New detachment is def a 2.5/5

The idea of the detachment is good. I think the biggest problem is that we have less good rangeweapon options for our Plague Marines. We have plenty of Meleeweapons that hit hard but the standard boltgun is not strong enough compared to a bubonic weapon.

I don't think this makes Blightlords any better when the alternative is just using Plague Marines in Plague Company with -Save contagion and Sanguinous Flux on 5+. Sure FBH enables you to threaten points sooner with scout and you have a bunch of CP hungry defensive strats but they're not doing a lot when they get to combat and they can still get out OC-ed quite easily. I'll keep using Plague Company until our Codex or BLT get a datasheet rewrite.

I think Rejuvenating Swarm can be very good for its cost on terminator characters like sorcerer or LoV that go alone to deep strike and faces enemy "home objective units" that won't be able kill them in a phase. P:D.: Sorcerer also heal his own Hazardous mortal wounds at the end of the phase.

Nice video! Dont forget the variance of the d3. Every 3rd spacemarine requires 2 shoots to kill and every 3rd terminator only requires one (on average, with termis it is alittle harder as you could end up overkillimg it by 2 damage) Cheers

Does this make Blightlords worth taking yet? Stealth and Scout to get them on an objective early and use the new stratagems to make them very hard to remove.

Subscribed for the glory of Nurgle; The flyblown host is intruiging, but losing my lovely contagion bonuses seems like an uneven trade-off. I'm curious to see what unique strategies people come up with for the detachment.

Rejuvenating Swarm would be extremely interesting on a LoC IF thier MW ability was automatic, but alas it's just a 4+ garbo ability. Imagine being able to have an LoC soak and reflect 4 MW per round?

Ultimately i think this detachment won't be as good because losing not only the special contagion but sticky objectives is a pretty bad blow. But I mostly run infantry so it might be something fun to look at.
