Like Dewgong, Ursaluna is not worth the mega slot because it's base form is much better than it's mega in my opinion. It's hard to top regular Ursaluna's Guts + Facade combo along with Scrappy and or Tough Claws.

I would have liked to see it get tough claws plus guts and scrappy to get massively powerful facades. Maybe even throw in a third ability to make its normal attacks unresisted alongside an ability to enhance its survivability such as the one that ignored stat changes.

How it works in practice On paper, all of its new traits sound amazing, and in a vacuum, it is….. However all of that gets out done by the fact that base ursaluna is actually better. Despite the stat boost, base ursaluna is actually stronger with guts+tough claws 252+ Atk Tough Claws Guts Ursaluna Double Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mew: 319-376 (78.9 - 93%) -- guaranteed 2HKO 252+ Atk Tough Claws Ursaluna Mega Double Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mew: 258-304 (63.8 - 75.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Double edge is used to compare the two with the moves they both would have (since for some reason headlong rush isn’t implemented into the calc yet) If taking into account the fact that base urs uses facade, which is STRONGER, the discrepancy becomes even more apparent. And on top of that, base urs is also effectively status immune as a result of being a guts abuser. But what about the bulk increase from mega urs. Base urs gets overcoat and not only effectively replicates the spedef boost, but also becomes immune to weather. And granted, mega ursaluna DOES have the advantage of better physical bulk….. But considering the aforementioned it isn’t really worth it to use it for that, especially since it’s definitely worth trading the physical bulk since that extra bulk doesn’t give it a fire weakness. So yeah… just stick to base ursaluna, even ursaring is actually a viable alternative that trades breaking power for speed due to quick feet
