Redux forms of simisear simipour and simisage are insane! With new abilities moves and types each one is unique and can be used a variety of different ways. The pokemon here in emerald elite redux 2.0 are all given 4 abilities at once. See which one of these new forms is the best!

@@edgargaebolg9307 kadabra is physical but abra and ala go back to special, his inates are the crazy part(using scratch on switch in and basically gets 5 extra(Very scaled down) on any move as long as your teammates are still alive then he has stab with all moves haha. i used dark pulse/aura sphere +2moves for coverage when needed. My favorite mon from this though was redux weedle give him a check if you're looking for a nice physical boy

What I've been saying for years - the elemental monkeys are a bunch of cheap knockoff starters that you're forced to use and pop up everywhere when that space could have been used for something else. And there's still only 3 sets of them.
There should be an Electric, Steel, Dark, Poison, {Sound}, Psychic, (Ice or Ground or fairy) sets; and play aroud with their stats a little. like a 10 -20% increase in 2 or 1 stat respectfully.
I wouldn't really make a Fight monkey as we already have Mankey and Chimchar lines; nor Normal as we already have Aipom line

Summary of how they “would” work in practice (would since they aren’t in PvP yet).
Are these forms a massive improvement: yes
Is it enough to make them viable: ABSOLUTELY NOT
The tools they all got are good, but it’s nothing that some other Mon does 10x better:
Guts fighters like conk easily outclass simisage.
There are mons like alakazam and starmie that do simipour’s mystic power gimmick better, and telekinesis on switch in is even replicated by the plethora of mons with abilities that directly make the move more accurate
And Simisear is just awful in practice, nearly as bad as its regular version here: nowhere near strong enough to threaten anything as an attacker, and as a prankster supporter you’re better off using mons like Grimmsnarl.
Saddest part about them is actually that due to the buffs the regular forms of these mons got, I’d say that those forms are better (except Simisear)

Just beat Elite Redux today (Though I'm not sure how much postgame things there's to do) but honestly I saw these in the shop and was very heavily considering picking them up but I wasn't sure on it and since my team ended up having... 11 members, I think I made a good call, but these funky guys seem like they'd be fun to use in another playthrouhg.

from my personal experience I think that the Dark one is the weakest, even with wicket blow it just seems to not deal very much damage. and the other two are both pretty decent for Thea early game but not that great.

Simipour is the best imo, STAB boosted special attacks that hit with the power of neurofocre wise glasses is crazy
Simisage is probably the 2nd best since it can reliably sweep with drain punch guts Frost orb and can decide on what defense he wants to hit
Simisear is the worst imo since they may reliably get the one kill, but they wont get any more unless the opponent is weak to dark or frail physically

You know for additional fun what if you can breed the different types monkeys (redux with original/redux with redux/original with original) to produce hybrid version like for example; simipour redux breed with simisage original producing Psychic Grass monkey or simisage original breed with simisear original to produce Grass Fire monkey. The result child should be able to learn all moves that their both parents can learn. At least this gives the elemental monkeys some unique features.

Why are they even hated

The OG monkeys are hated because
1. In Gen 5 they were basically a 2nd starter
2. They require elemental stones to evolve
3. They have very bad stats
4. They originally have very bad abilities
5. They’re actually very easy for the AI of any game to kill because they have low bulk, low power, and low speed
6. Unlike other hated Pokémon these monkeys have no redeeming qualities as they’re not even cute unless they’re trying to be

IDK who had a grudge against Unovan Simisear in ER, but its the only Monkey to not get Sage Power as an ability, instead getting the Monkey Business ability, which just has it use Tickle on switch-in. Like... Why?
EDIT: Also, I just looked at its stats and movepool in ER. My brain just lost a few IQ points trying to decipher why it is this way. Its now a physical attacker, but it now has no physical Fire moves in its level-up set. Sure, it gets Flare Blitz and Blaze Kick, but why treat it like pre Gen 6 Flareon, aka, like the red-headed stepchild.

Ok, but I absolutely do love simipour. I used one recently on my shiny white playthrough. I chose emboar so I had to hunt panpour in rustling grass but it's actually been really amazing with scald and acrobatics

Pretty much all the Pokémon are good. There are a few like Alolan Raticate and Iron Crown though that are largely disappointments though, especially for where you get them

The problem is the ability that would help the most with that just makes them do special damage instead of making them use special attack, meaning the moves are still used off of Iron Crowns meager 72 attack instead of its 122 special attack
