- Hydreigon has struggled greatly since the introduction of the fairy type. Well now it has become the very thing that was meant to destroy it. Here in Pokémon emerald elite redux it has a new form. Unfortunately no mega evolution but is Pokémon is super powerful. Is it the best redux form yet?

Great video! I run a Bulky Support Hydreigon that sets up double screens holding Light Clay. Priority Fairy Wind is good on him too, though I use Draining Kiss from time to time.
If only it had access to Charge Beam (like regular Hydreigon) it would be so good 😬
I'm not a huge fan of Redux Hydregion still being a Dragon-type, and that's because of its innates. Specifically Misty Surge. Dragon moves get weaker under Misty Terrian, effectively nerfing half of its STAB. Not to mention opposing Fairy-types can still abuse that Dragon-type with Misty Terrain-boosted move themselves. Sure, the added bulk might help a bit, but not enough to really matter.
I get why it's part Dragon, but I think something like a Psychic/Fairy type Hydregon would have made more sense and helped it out a little better, especially since none of its abilities outside of Mega Launcher even help the Dragon STAB in the first place. It's too heavily focused on the Fairy-typing.
You can just forgo the Dragon STAB. Fairy is clearly the better offensive type anyway.
Debatable, considering it only has one type that resist and one type that's immune. Sure, it only hits one type for super-effective damage, but Normal doesn't even have that yet it does great as a damaging type.
Actually, Misty Surge was reworked and I don't know why it hasn't been brought up yet. The dragon weakening effect has been removed and instead boosts fairy moves, so don't worry.

@@RoWiGRaTH np! I was actually VERY confused about the whole interaction myself and found it very anti-synergistic so I had to look around in the discord server to see that it was changed. So it's all cool
Oh thanks for mentioning my comments❤ one more thing I challenged league as double's format so with redux floatzal it becomes more strong as speed is no issue with free tailwind by floatzal and one chance to set up wryn wind via fake out and then use cut to activate weakness policy
Turning hydrei into a throne is SUCH a cool design concept. From a game design perspective, redux hydrei is probably my favorite one, since it has a peak design and you have so many ideas to play around with- bulky offense, bulky setup sweeper, scarfer, etc. like the simple fact that a "meta" set of redux hydrei can have 5-6 viable held items speaks volumes for how customizable it is, even if it isnt the most broken redux form

Wouldn't misty terrain halve the damage of your dragon moves essentially removing any relevant bonuses? The dragon typing is doing this mon more harm than favors.

Hello mega fidough Im just wondering can tou make a vid about mega jellicent and how to like get its mega stone since i got a challenge to get all mega stones including the purple orb for cascoon
Mega jellicent is a cancelled mon you have to hack the game to get it and I'm pretty sure it'll either crash the game once used or itl just show up with no model
Also if you want pncascoon go to the woods in between roxxane and Normans gym and go to the secret area where you get m breloom there should be a cave entrance keep entering it till you get an opening with a river use surf then you should be able to find and defeat the trainer there to get the purple orb

How he works in practice:
Bulky support redux hydra just doesn’t work: for a fairy support Mon to set up screens we have Grimm which just does that job 10x better
It’s much better as an attacker with mega launcher, which it actually does well, considering it still has nasty plot and great stab, though even then it suffers from one massive problem:
It’s STRAPPED for move slots
Obviously you’d want pixie beam since that’s your strongest move, as well as being mega launcher booster, but from there it needs all of dragon pulse for reliable dragon stab, wyrm wind to fix it’s speed issue, nasty plot to give it the power to sweep, and fire blast to deal with the one type that walls it’s stabs: steels
And that’s not even mentioning things such as WHICH anti steel move it wants, since aura sphere and earth power are considered since they can hit heatran and other non fire weak steels.
I'm running Nasty Plot, Aura Sphere, Draining Kiss and Wyrm Wind. It's a decent set, maybe the best set it can get to sweep and make decent damage without boosting.

One of my favorite mons that played a major part in my elite mono fairy run.
I ran a modest Max HP Max Spatk set eith mega launcher, Terrain Pulse, Dpulse, NP, Roost and lefties for double healing. Very easy to set up on various threats and just win.
A bulky AV/TV set also works, reducing it's overall longevity due to lack of roost but having a TON of resists is pretty valuable and it can still pick up OHKOs just off a sheer power.
If they gave regular hydreigon mega launcher and swapped its speed and Atk, itd be my 🐐

I wonder what your opinion on Reuniclus Redux is, especially with an interesting innate that swaps how sun and rain effects water and fire attacks respectively paired with moves that get more powerful in those weathers

@@YegfBtdu this isn't really the place to ask questions/report glitches since the discord is more apt at handling them but here's the answer
You can't do these things BECAUSE the types are immune to their respective status conditions, not just the typing. That's why glare fails versus electric types, because electric types can't be paralyzed period. Steel and Poison are both straight up immune to being poisoned and that's seen by toxic spikes not affecting them (and Poison actually absorbing them) the only case where you can poison them is with Corrosion.
TL; DR report glitches to the discord, they are immune to the status entirely, regardless of the type the move is.

Since when does Misty Terrain boost Fairy-type damage? I assume this is a Redux addition?
To my knowledge, it only prevents grounded pokemons from being affected my Status moves and halve the damage of Dragon-type attacks
What? Terrains always boosted their type's moves (for grounded mons)
My guy it always boosted the power of fairy moves, its not a redux thing
Yeah, it is a redux addition. Misty terrain never boosted fairy type moves in OG games.
