- Houndoom is a fan favorite but it has always had struggles being one of the best Pokémon. Even its mega form failed to help it becomes a top tier threat. Can its new look and mega form here in Emerald Elite Redux make it an elite threat??

@@beibkk0Because unlike regular Aegislash you want to outspeed your opponent to get value out of it, which it doesn't have. Regular Aegislash can just tank whatever gets thrown at it in shield form then change to attack, but Redux Aegislash's lopsided stats means you need to change forms BEFORE getting attacked to get the proper defense if it can't OHKO. Otherwise if a special attacker is facing it down and it's in Axe form and can't outspeed or priority, it just gets blown up by any gust of wind, same for physical into Bow form. You might get some value out of it if you can take out all of one type of attackers on the enemy team so you only need one form but that is extremely situational, and gets completely ruined by competent mixed attackers...
How it works in practice:
So remember vanilla spectrier: where despite having zero coverage it was threatening to the point of being banned due to ghost being an amazing stab type on it’s own and it finding multiple ways around dark and normal types?
What if we upgrade it’s stab from 80 to 130 bp and instead of it boosting it’s spatk by one stage, we make it boost by 2 for simply using it’s stab and not only boost that stab by 30% and 80% if it’s at 1/3 hp or lower, but also let it hit normal types for neutral damage, removing any way of preventing it from getting any boosts, so eventually it becomes too easy for it to just overwhelm the dirth of switch ins left.
And what if we also give it aura sphere as well instead of draining kiss to let it finish off said overwhelmed switch in’s with ease
That’s redux mega doom in a nutshell.
There is no way in HELL that this thing isn’t getting quick banned, and it probably has a scary niche in Ubers, at least once Caly-s gets banned from the tier (and it likely will, since even with gira and veltal’s dominance the fact that it ruins everything else is oppressive)
Unfortunately Sucker Punch exists.
And 135 isn't the fastest in Elite Redux Standards.
Permanent Mega mode is so broken☠️ you can put a choice scarf to that thing and be the fastest thing alive, or a focus sash to make it last.

It would tear er ou to shreds and likely would have a niche in Ubers once caly-s gets banned, since it can take it’s place

I like to report a bug: Mega Redux T-Tar cannot be reverted back if the setting to make mega evolutions persist between battles is turned on and it loses all its available moves in the move changing menu

R. Houndoom looks awesome!! This game looks amazing! I’d really love to see some cute and powerful fairy redux forms. Mix things up, make a fairy poison type?? I feel like anything can happen in this game, kind of like when I first got into the franchise. 😃

i have a debate with this one:
it's better with the 50% special atack of the normal form when burned or its mega?
I assume the mega because the speed tier, normal from seems nice and powerful but it depends on being burned and speed tier is not great, you can slap a scarf but then you're not burned. For immediate power and nice speed I think the mega

Tell them to give us a Mega Hawlucha no redux form just give him a mega and for some reason I truly believe that would make hawlucha I top 10 mon in elite redux
This was one of the few new Megas that I don't automatically think is better, not cause the mega is bad but because the base form is pretty good already. I got a Roar, Shadow Ball + Flame orb set up which lets it sweep most non-scarfed teams and the flame prevents any status ailments from being applied, so it hard to get off the field.
is this available in the v2.0 beta 2? and is all pokemon catchable?
