2024 JEVRA rd 6 Tsukuba #524 Joe Justice TESLA S Plaid - WIKISPEED EV RACING - and, um, crash.
This one is a much shorter video, I crashed out during qualifying, where we set a few practice laps to determine what order to start in during the actual race. So for me the race ended before the actual race even started.
We brought two cars to the race however, and the other car, #321, finished first overall, winning completely. I hope I get video from THAT car. But for now I have video from the car I was driving, and, um, well, crashes are exciting, right?
For those that want to know what happened and how to avoid it- Tesla's have a Track Mode and you can adjust how much the cars slide and how they balance themselves when they slide. I would recommend driving on the race track with Stability Assist set to 50%. This car was set to -10%, which I had never tried before, which I think makes it intentionally prolong skidding and actually start skidding even before it would have to? This setting was from the previous owners, the world famous Super GT Team Taisan, who had won the EV GP championship the last 3 years running! So they clearly knew what they were doing! They even set the EV track record on this track, Tsukuba, in this very car, with these very tires, with this setting, earlier in the year, before selling the car to me. However, this was my first time on track with this car, in fact I had bought it the week before, and only driven it slowly on the street to get the license plates and then to Tsukuba, total about 4 hours I believe. So this setting was, as you can see, way too advanced for my familiarity with this car, or these tires, or this race track. So why had I not changed the setting? That's a story posted on X: x.com/JoeJustice/status/1848158733425394028
Safe Racing everyone! If I save up enough money, I'll see you at the EV GP next year!

I race in JEVRA, the only national level Electric GT series in the world. It is currently hosted in Japan. In 2024 I joined partway through the season, at round 3. This is my second race, which is round 4, at Twin Ring Motegi in Japan. I am driving a stock Tesla Model Y Performance, even stock brakes! I had fresh Advan A050 tires put on, but with teeny tiny wheels so tight they nearly rubbed th...

Thank you @KIMI_0846 for showing such excellent racing alongside the amazing @Hyundai_Global #IoniqN5N cars, all three of them, which ran very, very, very well and fast. I make MANY mistakes in this race, BIG ONES, like, starting in Park.... so .. ummm... enjoy?! #WIKISPEED #EV RACING

What is truly amazing about the Agile professional community is, in general, the people are so much fun. Welcoming, playful, smiling, not taking themselves or each other too seriously. And yet extremely high performance business people. An amazing combination. At an event center I can usually tell the agile events from the other side of closed doors- the sound is more like a holiday party.
Joe Justice at Basler internal company speaker's series. How to transform a traditional company

Many companies invite Joe Justice to present on a topic or series of short topics as part of a speaker's series to continue employee education and build excitement. Very rarely Joe Justice is allowed to publish these on Social Media. Basler, Olympus, John Deere, and just a few others have allowed that. Here, Basler asks that Joe speak less about Elon Musk and more about Musk company practices, ...

If the AI could real time judge the value you are providing including the cost of changing context you could have highly productive burst workers put in their max time for less pay. If the AI is up front about the reward for solving a problem it might work.
Another gr8 Joe Justice video... but this is also pure gold for those seeking work IMNSHO
I think this is incredibly spot on. And especially even more so now, 1 year later. However, I think the reason this is not taking off is that the people who will make the decision to do this are the ones that are being replaced. How do you go around that problem? Talk to the owners/leadership?
Book smart…… not street smart
It seems to be a win-win then having had a backup for the finish. I've never crashed a car, but all my MC crashes were pretty fun stuff, even the worst. It's always good when the win is worked hard for and fair. Great going, and thanks.
Joe!!! glad you are good!!
Funsies! Was that stock model? What tires did you have on? Seemed to let loose pretty quick.
275/30/19 Advan A052 tires on a model S plaid - same plaid and same tires and same track mode settings that set the EV record at Tsukuba- same track- earlier this same year- 59.5". It was my first 10 minutes of track time in the car I had just bought. ouch! expensive!
@@JoeJustice0 It's a beast! Glad you didn't seem to be hurt. Thanks for letting us peek in. 🫣
Ah sucks, rears were overheated by that slide, and then when you came back on to the power they let go. You were pushing hard, and sometimes hard pushes back, keep going brother, much love.
😒
HA! Now we're having fun! You can't call yourself a track guy till you kiss a wall. Congrats and welcome to the club Joe! Just be thankful you didn't learn the meaning of Earth Sky Earth Sky or have the chance to critique the ambulance driver's line through turn three ;-)
oh wow, thank you!
Time for that redemption arc!
😢どんまい😂
Sorry about that.
Hi Joe. Is 'Tesla One' written as one word or two?
sorry for my late late late reply! It is written either way. Here it is in the ios appstore (a portal app to TeslaOne) using two words, but I found it by typing one word: apps.apple.com/jp/app/tesla-one/id1625770308
hmmm this ios version looks like it is a very very simplified UI front end. what I used in 2020 was much more programatic. I wonder if all that content I accessed is really under this ultra-simplified UI...
Hi Joe, really love ur stuff. Do you have any online courses for those of us who can’t attend in person events?
I do! en.abi-agile.com/ I would love to see you in a course with me!
Oh this looks fun!!! upvoted!!!!
😂 I like that start
I've watched a few of Joe's videos and none of them mention the workers who simply assemble cars. I find it hard to believe that all workers work at Mob and do everything from unloading trucks to programming robots. Who assembles the cars that have to come off the line every few minutes?
Pls come to mexico im ur biggest fan❤❤❤
Hi, i have a project for a motor home made in an electric vehicle, I would like to talk about a custom chassis, minibus style, 7/2 meters. to put solar panels on the roof, with an extender for a production of 6000 W while stationary, and thus travel without needing gas and diesel
what does that Elon guy know about any of this
How are manufacturing validation efforts handled in this Agile system? Ex) If I want to replace one robot arm for another, this would requrie a lengthy development and validation cycle. This is a major bottleneck in Life Science companies.
I think you answered this at timestamp: 49:33

Nice cuts of individual principles! Great recipes to keep in hand. Thanks mucho! Joe, BTW.... don't know if you are interested in the UAP subject but if so then check out Ross Coulthart's latest "Reality Check" presentation he just gave in Huntsville, Alabama to engineers that work on rockets.
Eye opening and insightful talk. Incredible to even think about this process working much less that it is working in the factories. Who can compete with this? Amazing.
This isn't ageing well 😂
Great vid!

Joe, very few have the knowledge of the advantage the Musks companies have. You describe it very well. Unfortunately there are few people that understand this information you are pointing to. Keep up your effort. The future will give you the credit.

Great content. A bit weird naming it after yourself.
Great info. Love your videos. Thanks
I appreciate the willingness to publicly compare what you promote usually with actual experience from inside the company
Hot damn man. This is really amazing. I've been geeking out on all your videos. I'm hoping this will really help us make video games in a much more productive and fun way.
Love the video. Super exciting. But the video seems to assume a lot of extra knowledge - it just covered so much ground so quickly, I felt like I missed something. Is there a book, a course or site or any other videos about this? I'd love to give it a try in video game development, but this video just doesn't seem like enough to do it properly.
We will do the entire 12 step course together April 22 in Paris. Other dates here: en.abi-agile.com/lp/joedx/
Awesome vid, lots of aha-moments, thank you!
