  • Many companies invite Joe Justice to present on a topic or series of short topics as part of a speaker's series to continue employee education and build excitement. Very rarely Joe Justice is allowed to publish these on Social Media.
Basler, Olympus, John Deere, and just a few others have allowed that.
Here, Basler asks that Joe speak less about Elon Musk and more about Musk company practices, and specifically about:
-Fast Company / Innovate: How do they achieve such agility and speed of innovation. (automated testing of every part and product, flat company etc.). -What example KPI´s do they use and how? How does Psychological Safety fit into all of this?
-Fast Team: How do companys uses Mob-Development on a daily basis? Radical self organized teams / Choosing your own work (Justice Board) / Justice Law
-Digital self management: What is the digital self management and specifically how does Tesla use Machine Vision to support this?
-Transform a company : quick overview of the steps to transform a traditional company
That is a lot to try to cover in just 30 minutes! But some of each of those topics is in this 28 minute video.

I feel a sense of regret at not understanding these concepts earlier. As the chief engineer for skunkworks teams I frequently joined in with my experts to help them with their tasks and we enjoyed huge synergy but I didn’t involve others in my individual contributions and missed a huge opportunity to advance the skills of my teams.

What is the process if a new functionality in a module needs adaptions in another model? How does the process look like? How do the module teams interact?

Just saw you mentioning adapters. But what if something more significant changes?

In skunkworks, I have individual’s responsible for a function/module. How do you insure someone is advancing a module and don’t have everyone focused in parallel on a single “sexy” module.
