Great interview with a young ambitious and dedicated employee. I am concerned he might overstep a bit. Glad you censored as much as you have. Consider redo or clipping out, whatever you do protect this guy. Take care.
I have had updated conversations with Anthony since, not published, where Anthony says he is completing training of his own volition on his phone and walking to other areas of GigaTexas and experiencing the autonomy more like I experienced in Fremont in 2020. Anyone working for Musk now? What is like?
Is it feasible to have porta-potties indoors? I know the concept may seem gross, and ventilation may be an issue, but this seems like a possible solution. Perhaps flexible ducts (like for clothes dryers) could be used for ventilation. I imagine it's difficult to add permanent bathrooms at this finished stage, so just trying to think of how to add more bathrooms and break areas to address that issue. Great interview! 🤠👍
Joe, big fan, and I appreciate you censoring parts of the interview to protect the Tesla employee, but the way it’s censored, even though you can’t hear what he’s saying, still does show him talking about things he shouldn’t be talking about, which Tesla might not appreciate. It might be better to just edit out the censored information completely with cuts to protect the employee, even though it may mess with the video synchronization… Just my two cents. Cheers
To be more precise, the fact that it says censored, is proof that he violated his NDA, versus if it was cut out completely, there would be reasonable doubt that maybe he just stuttered or you guys went off on a tangent, and whether he violated his NDA or not would be complete speculation..
I’ve listened to your discussion of agile manufacturing but this guy is not experiencing that. He is simply working the same job on the assembly line over and over for 60 hours a week. I assume he gets time and a half for 20 of those hours but the conditions described are exactly what leads people to decide on seeking the protection of a union. If Tesla is doing a great engineering job on the cars it seems like they should be spending more design time on the jobs and workplace. As I think on it, their plan may be to hurry up the deployment of the robot replacements for guys like this.
Joe don't be getting him fired. Environment sounds like typical auto plant. Can't speak for a union plant though. Building cars is quite the challenge.
Shanghai is fully built out where as Texas is not. Still a lot of empty space in Giga Texas, so room to grow. Give it time, Giga Texas will be producing more cars then Shanghai in a few years.
I appreciate the willingness to publicly compare what you promote usually with actual experience from inside the company

tesla has to be cool with people sharing good vibes about the workplace

Great video.
Sadly so much censored but I can absolutely understand why 😅
Thanks to you both!

I worked at Renault 20 years ago in France and was all the same but doing 40 hours not 60
Please, take this down and edit it, you will not profit from this video as much it will make problems to the nice young guy.
Well the garage explains all the concrete pouring lately, not sure if there is really much else revealed here.
This video is so censored it feels like maybe this guy should be blurred/shadowed and voice modulated.

The restrooms and break rooms are designed for Optimus.
I know he signed an NDA, God bless his future lol
🙏❤
How come production is so limited in Texas compared to Shanghai
Shanghai manufactures over 50% of all Teslas

Hhhmmm, don't think this should be shared.
I find your head constantly nodding with that ridiculos hat on is distracting
Lol
