Yeah, they had to do it due to dogs and mountain bikers. Millcreek Canyon is the only canyon not used for the municipal water supply, so it gets all the dog traffic. There are a ton of dogs on certain weekends year round. For the record, my dogs love it! =-D

It is beautiful. This was my first time up to this lake. There is a South Willow Lake in the next basin to the south that I've camped at before. I was going to do a hike up there this year, but I've been too busy to make it happen. The Stansburys are great and I've always really liked hiking in them. Last year my wife was offered a job in the area so we moved out to the Tooele Valley, which has been great for the hiking opportunities.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was impressed with the snow too. This was after a very heavy snow year for the Sierras and the west in general. The snow pack lingered into September in a few areas here in northern Utah. This was my first time in the area and there is a ton of great hiking to be had. The route I took gave me a unique view of the surrounding mountains and the views of Tahoe were spectacular! Good stuff.

The Uintas are fantastic! I'd highly recommend doing the High-Line trail. It goes through all the good stuff. It's like a little slice of Alaska right here in Utah. I've done it twice and its always such a great time, even the time we got stuck in a white-out at 11,000 ft. on the 24th of July.

This was a great hike. The Galamus Gorge is pretty spectacular and I'm hoping to hike/swim it next year while were in the area. All of this land is government land (public land) with the hermitage being managed by the local department (French equivalent to counties).

That’s the cosmos 300 engine. 36HP@7200 at sea level. They make trikes all the way up to about 65HP using the rotax 582 engine.

These guys are going to be back in a couple of weeks to train some more people, so I'm going to make sure I have plenty of beer on hand. 😆

You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful. Our public land are one of the best things about America! I too have done a bit of volunteer trail maintenance for the Forest Service and I'm a big proponent of cleaning up trash at campsites and on trails. I always carry trash bags with me just in case (I've had to clean up some doozies too) and I try to enlist friends and family to help. That sounds like a great trip. Hopefully you were able to escape the summer heat. I lived 28 years in Alaska really missed the dry, low humidity of the west, but I'm living in northern Utah now, which isn't as wet, cold, and dark in the winters and so far, it's been great. This was probably shot on my Go Pro 7 (Black), but I currently use an 8 most of the time, with the 7 primarily used on the roof of the truck. They've been pretty decent cameras and fairly inexpensive. I have been looking at upgrading to a 12 though. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike

Me too! Such a great hike. That loop sounds nice. I need to try it sometime. I usually do it as and out and back from Bowman Fork but I did do a loop that started at the Alexander Basin TH, up to Gobblers, then to Raymond, and looped around Gobblers, back to Alexander and out. Lol. The funny thing is, I just bought another 1st gen this summer and the door fell off within three weeks of me owning it. No. There is enough space between the burners and the bottom of the stove to keep it cool.

Thanks! it's an incredibly beautiful place. I can hardly wait to go back. The road past the summit was in great shape and I'd say even better due to it seeing less use. It looks like they have brought it up to grade like the road from French Glenn. I did a quick drive through of the Fish Lake campground, but it was full, so I headed up to where I camped in the video. Maybe a small, high clearance, 4x4 type, but there are some tight switchbacks on a steep downhill. I think there is a sign at the top cautioning people not to take trailers down into the canyon, so proceed with caution. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike

The locals did find out and showed up to watch the show...from a safe distance, of course.

And that was after they tried to fill in the craters and cover them with concrete. As you can see, it has collapsed.

These tests were conducted while the Department of Defense was looking for a suitable location for NORAD.

How does it make no sense? Our government wanted to know how well bunkers hold up to bombs of different yields, at different depths. So they could find the ideal ratio bunker stability and depth to ensure survival and continuity of government. Something that's going to come into play anyday now when the nukes start flying. They've been prepping for it for decades. 🤙

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. The San Rafael Swell is a really great place to loose yourself in for a few days/weeks. There is so much backcountry here. Most of the roads in the area aren't going to require high clearance and only get questionable when they get too wet. Yes it is! There were quite a few people on the Wedge, so we camped over at the East Wedge, which wasn't too far. I'm down here again, this time with Isabelle. She's never been before.
