You're welcome and thanks for watching this adventure! I really like this area and it's a great escape from the city, one that not too many people consider when they think of seeing Utah's deserts. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike

Hey Kenny! Yes, this was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. It has some really cool history too. I'm glad to hear that you appreciate the music. It's an important element to telling a story and I try to find the best fit for the video. I make judicious used of Epidemic Sounds vast library. 😀 Thanks for watching, Kenny!

I'm glad that you enjoyed this video. There is a lot of interesting history about the Hastings cut-off and the Donner-Reed party in this corner of Utah... and beautiful scenery along this road. It's a great place to spend a weekend with dogs. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike

Nice country. The dirt roads looked as if they were being maintained.
I am hoping to see a lot of the desert in Utah, Nevada and Idaho next year in my converted 35' school bus. Were the roads decent enough for a big schoolie around the Silver Island Mountains ?
What time of the year did you visit this area ?

The main road around the island is regularly maintained and in great shape and should be fine for a converted school bus. Some of the side roads get a little rough and a bus might be to long. There were several areas at the beginning of the loop where people had big RVs and trailers. The first three camping spots that I pointed out in the video should be just fine for a bus. It sounds like you have quite an adventure coming up. Have fun! If you have any other questions or would like some suggestions on cool places to explore, you can dm me on Instagram. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike
