Hey, Kalman! Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a really cool place with a lot of interesting history, some that I didn't have time to cover in this video. Great hiking too! It's definitely worth spending some time there, just don't do it in the summer...hot, hot, hot!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. This place is very nice, with a ton of interesting bits of history, geology, and great camping and hiking. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike
Seven Key Holes Slot Canyon looks exactly like what I imagined when reading The Monkey Wrench Gang. Totally different area, I know, but in my mind's eye, that's what I was picturing. Uncanny! Great vid, Mike!
Thanks! The Monkey Wrench Gang sure is a fun read. Edward Abby loved the red rock country and it shows on many levels in his writing. Thanks for watching, Cameron!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Apologies for missing your comment. Ancestral Puebloans and Fremont were some of the ancient peoples that first inhabited the area from around 4,500 BC. In more recent times, it has been the ancestral home of the Moapa Band of Paiutes and the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe. I'd highly recommend taking a trip to the monument. Impressive history, scenery and camping! Thanks for watching! ~ Mike
This is part of the problems with moderen people most wont see the writing on the walls and dont care we have to slow down thats just me saying thanks for the adventure brother God Bless
I've been in the Seven Keyholes Slot canyon a couple of times before and I had never seen some of these petroglyphs...walked right past them. These days, I spend a little more time looking closely at my surroundings. It astonishing just how many rock art panels there are in this area. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike
Yes it is! We saw a few people, mostly around Whitney Pockets, but other than that, we had the place to ourselves most of the trip. Thanks for watching! ~ Mike
Great video! I definitely need to go camping out there.
Absolutely beautiful and powerful place! Such cool history as well. Amazing video as always my friend!
