I grew up with the nes zelda 😂 meaning you know nothing of it but dude ur crying or something you bash on totk because you dont know whags happening and you need to find out whats happening you know thats how movies and games work right? 🤦 The only thing totk does more is that you have to figure outit gives alot more freedom by doing so ever played the witcher 3? The order to do many quests was for you to figure out and by doing so making the story alot better without you directly realizing lets say memories they arent in order wel thats ok it wil give yoy a moment to be like aaah thats how it went immersing you more in to the story and world.... And in botw wich i finished many times you knew from the start where it was goingwich actual took away alot of immersion i dont get it first you say totk did everything better that you dont knoe why you go back to botw and all you do is lie about totk about the most pointless stuff you just wanna have a peacefull walk you can do that in both but even tho botw is also in everyones heard you cant deny totk did it better and not spoiling everything and giving you more freedom to actual find out and giving you more to do and yet you still find stuff in totk about the war long ago

I have no hopes for it. I dont think this franchise would be good in live action. Animations is a better medium. But I guess we'll see when it comes out

I don't think it's as much about fan speculation as much as it is about knowing how ravenous any fanbase can get. If he states his favorite Zelda game (popular or not), some fans will leap with excitement and others will jump down his throat and review-bomb the movie before the first trailer drops. Of course, he was doomed the moment this question was posed since even a non-answer has had that exact effect. And also avoiding speculation would be a good idea, too.

I think he didn't say anything bc he knows whatever he says is his favorite people will get angry at him for it. If he says Oot it's "oh that's just an obvious answer that's probably the only one he played, one time when he was a kid" if he says botw people would be furious "that's the only one he's herd of he's not a real fan!" If he says something more nech like wind waker or mnish cap then they'd be like "why doesn't he like Oot? There's no way he can capture the vibe of zelda if that's his favorite one"

I feel that we need a new, little known, young actor for Link. His character’s portrayal through his wordlessness would draw strongly from the way the actor silently carries and expresses themself. As such a well known actor would just be too distinct.

This controversy is new to me. So far the only drama about the upcoming Zelda movie I knew was caused by me in Reddit when I said that Tom Holland cannot act as Link because he's almost 30 years old now and he no longer looks the same as in the pictures where Holland was still 16-17 years old ten years ago and that's why I think that Link should be acted by a new child or teen actor instead.

Tom Holland? No. I did not enjoy him as Spider-Man and I did not enjoy him as Nathan Drake. For Link, I want nobody to portray him except 12-year-old Oscar Novak from The Northman!

sure video game movies have been improving i recent years but i still feel the video game movie curse hasn't exactly been broken yet the uncharted movie failed to capture the vibe of the source material, for all the good that came out of the suepr mario bors movie there was also a lot of bad that IMO overshadowed the good and the five nights at freddys movie REALLY has people divided!

i still wish we could have gotten a studio Ghibli legends of zelda movie ESPECIALLY after the success of the boy and the heron

It's not just the story explanation, it's that Zelda fans are very particular with what is the "best" game and all that. I watched a video about my fave Zelda game and literally got told that my fave Zelda game... Is no ones fave Zelda game... If your fave Zelda isn't OOT or TP or ALTTP or BOTW/TOTK everyone hates you! Because... Those are the games that HAVE to be your fave for... Some reason.... My fave Zelda is phantom hourglass btw.

Legend of Zelda is such a varied franchise that takes on such a wide variety of tones and stories and settings that I think a live action adaptation could absolutely work. I mean, Majora’s Mask is so vastly different in tone, atmosphere, setting, and GENRE than Breath of the Wild. But both are Zelda. I can absolutely envision a live action take on the franchise that exists alongside these other stories. And hey, if it’s shit, then we can harvest it for memes like the CDI Games.

I like the water temple from oot but i don't like the lakebed temple It probably helps that i played the 3ds version first with better iron boots management and indicators for the water level changing spots

It is what it is now, it'll be what it's gonna be, but I still say no matter how good it turns out not making it animated was a mistake. It might be good but only an animated version could have been great.

The only thing I'm scared for is its going to be a *kids* movie, I'm not saying that's Bad, but it should have some mature shit sprinkled here and there

It's a close call for me. Both games do certain things better. For me BotW has better champions abilities, a better storyline, and felt fresh and new. TotK on the other hand has better gameplay, better dungeons, and a larger over world, but it did feel a little bit too familiar since it was copied from BotW. In the end I honestly don't know which game I like more. But I do like them both.

I have been playing LoZ since the original NES game. Twilight Princess was the very first 3D Zelda game that I didn't like. I completed the game but for whatever reason it just lacks that same charm that other titles in the series have for me. I'm guessing that I never will learn to like it.

Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli films for his upcoming Legend of Zelda movie , my hope Link x Princess Zelda’s relationship is as romantic but vastly understated where it comes out of the ' subtle hints' Nintendo has in put in recent games such as Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild.

I think BOTW is a MUCH better game than TOTK, more does not equal better. BOTW builds around its world in a measure way, while TOTK just adds things on top of it en mass for the sake of it and ruins it. Tiers of a kingdom is just a choir, specially if you have plaid BOTW.

I don't see why people have a problem with it. To me it's basically an updated version of Ocarina of Time. Why wouldn't I enjoy it? Complainers say "It's just a recreation of Ocarina of Time!" Oh no, not Ocarina of Time! How horrible! Yeah...

Tears of the Kingdom seems to be an attempt to replace Breath of the Wild. It even fits perfectly as a complete replacement if you simply ignore that Ganon wasn't defeated until the end of BotW and instead treat him as having been defeated by Link at the end of the Calamity in a case of mutual destruction. With Hyrule destroyed, Link defeated and barely alive, and Ganondorf slain and sealed. That tiny tweak is all it takes. And really seems to be what Tears of the Kingdom is intended to suggest really happened.

The reason I haven't bought Tears of the Kingdom, aside from not having beaten Breath of the Wild, is that I noticed everything anyone talks about or compliments about the game either is in Breath of the Wild or is the construction aspect. Which tells me the rest of the game is _literally not worth mentioning._

I think the reason why I return to botw more than totk as botw has a better feel and nearly all the good glitches in botw haven't been patched out. Like I can get to 999 fairies from a new save in botw in like 1 and a bit hours minus the plateau while doing all the glitches to do that in totk takes way longer. Also in botw it's much easier to travel around with blss and windbombing/BILs while totk has the hoverbike and pocket rocketing but pocket rocketing is much harder to perform on the latest version while botw you can do everything I mentioned on the latest version. Or Maybe I just love performing glitches too much.
