I mean, to be fair, Detective Pikachu is considered overall to be a solid, good, fun movie. The Pokémon in live action look great for the most part, and while yeah, it's weird that Detective Pikachu was their choice for making into a movie, it also makes the most sense since making a movie about collecting gym badges would be weird to adapt. Just thought it would be cool to point that out. Also, the movie grossed over $450 million at the box office, so it was a success. Just want to let know of this, but yeah.
DP was the easiest to translate
I didn't realize how small this channel is, great commentary keep making more
DP was the easiest to translate and neither sonic movie has yet to pass DP’s box office give it the respect it deserves
Glad I'm already subbed, great content, as always
I miss Daniel… 😞
That's an L take about Ryan Renolds as Pikachu. He was awesome at that.
The movie was cute and unique and inventive and it felt like a Pokémon movie
a fire emblem movie, something that is like game of thrones
I'd definitely argue that the detective Pikachu movie was the start of the incline of good video game movies .
Sure the story wasn't amazing but the bar was so dam low the fact that the movie really felt like it was part of the Pokemon universe and not a half ass Hollywood write off really made it stand out at the time. At least for advocate Pokemon fans such as myself whose been watching their anime movies forever now .
That being said I also feel like detective Pikachu gave movies the wrong idea when it comes to voice acting. Ryan Reynolds playing Pikachu was really funny and unique at the time especially at the height of his popularity.
But then they tried to capitalize this by using Chris Pratt over and over (looking at you Garfield movie) to the point where the notoriety had faded.
DP was the best approach it was the game that translated the best and everyone loved Ryan as pikachu
I don’t think the halo show is that bad I liked their unique approach
Just wondering why you did not talk about the Assassin's Creed movie. Have you seen it? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
I have not seen it and tbh I completely forgot that movie existed. Im not a big Assassins Creed fan lol.
🎉 cool vid
sure video game movies have been improving i recent years but i still feel the video game movie curse hasn't exactly been broken yet
the uncharted movie failed to capture the vibe of the source material, for all the good that came out of the suepr mario bors movie there was also a lot of bad that IMO overshadowed the good and the five nights at freddys movie REALLY has people divided!
peak gmod skit from peak youtuber
also i am looking forward to the BENDY MOVIE the PEAK that will be the BENDY MOVIE y'know BENDY AND THE INK MACHINE
I just don’t think u understand Pokémon
They tried a bunch of voices and Ryan’s worked the best
😯😯😯😊
Video game movies are finally good, and it's thanks to Garry's Mod.
