Gold Bar Rim Moab with Toyota Tundra
IG: @beehivetundra
Gold Bar Rim trail in Moab, truck ran well, the new bumper offered a lot of great clearance on departure and drop off ledges. A few of the steeper ledges still caught the hitch but nothing it couldn’t handle.

Night run at 5 mile pass with Toyota Tundra
มุมมอง 417ปีที่แล้ว
Got invited to a night run at 5 Mile Pass - we had a Gladiator, 3 Wranglers, a Tacoma and 2 Tundras out for some fun. Tried my hand at two of the more challenging obstacles with no success. Hoping to try again in daylight with better results. 🤙🏽
Toyota Tundra running Rattlesnake trail at 5 Mile Pass
มุมมอง 161ปีที่แล้ว
Optional obstacle on Rattlesnake. Took the line up but I should have stayed more driver side, so the truck slid to the passenger side and floated 3 of the 4 tires. We were in a group of 7 so I opted not to stick around too long trying the obstacle and backed off. Will try again in the daylight with hopefully better results.
Toyota Tundra on Frenchie’s Fin in Moab UT
มุมมอง 1.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IG: @beehivetundra Went back to Moab and finished the Fins n Things trail since I broke my steering rack and DNF the last time I was on this trail. Frenchie’s Fin might be the tallest and steepest climb in the Fins n Things trail. Had to reposition the truck after the first attempt because it was sliding too much. You can see the front suspension unload and all the weight was transferring to th...
Poison Spider Moab with Toyota Tundra
มุมมอง 2.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IG: @ beehivetundra Took a friend and his 4Runner up Poison Spider Mesa trail. Showed him a bit on spotting techniques and speed control on obstacles. Took a bit of time so we didn’t have an opportunity to finish the whole trail, I’ll be back to do the look and connect to golden spike. Overall the trail was super fun, none of the obstacles were the ‘break your rig’ type and they were simply fun...
Flat Iron Mesa Moab 2022 with Toyota Tundra
มุมมอง 3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Instagram: @ beehivetundra Went rolled out to Flat Iron Mesa Friday at 1pm with only 1 vehicle, we were hoping to link up with a group that might be running the trail, but we spent 4 hr 40 mins on FIM and never saw a single person. Wasn’t too sure on the route so I ran it south to north which appears to be the reverse route which adds difficulty to some of the major obstacles as you have to asc...
The Beehive Bumper is done!

Tundra gets a new bumper!

Smasher Canyon with Toyota Tundra
มุมมอง 36K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IG: @beehivetundra Went down to Arizona and hit Smasher Canyon with Wheeling Full-size. We had a fantastic time and really worked to get through the trail. In the end, the trail lives up to its’ name and we both left with body damage. This was my first real outing using the Eaton e-locker and it performed flawlessly. There was numerous occasions where the weight distribution was off enough but ...

Tundra E-Locker Installation
มุมมอง 7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IG: @beehivetundra In this video I show you how I chose to run the wiring harness for the Eaton E-Locker. The harness comes complete with a breaker fuse block if you don’t have your own already. Short of crimping a few wires together, Eaton provides a complete plug and play kit. The switch comes with a manual lockout so you don’t accidentally engage your locker: however, this is grossly oversiz...
Tundra upgraded to 5.29’s and Eaton Locker
มุมมอง 4.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IG: @beehivetundra In this video I’m just recapping what I’m doing with the truck but this is not a How-To. I removed the front and rear differentials to have them regeared to 5.29’s from the factory 4.30’s and install a Eaton E-Locker in the rear. I did not want to fuss with air lines or solenoids with my ARB Twin and I wanted the option of instant locking ability so Eaton was my clear choice....
2013 Toyota Tundra Steering Rack Replacement
มุมมอง 26K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone, I wanted to show you all how I replaced my steering rack on the Tundra. Unfortunately I did not document the step by step process as I went along because that would’ve taken a lot of time to document, but the whole process takes about 6 hours start to finish. The only time I really needed a second set of hands was during the reinstallation of the differential just to keep it balan...
Toyota Tundra ARB Compressor Install

Instagram: @beehivetundra In this video I demonstrate how to install an ARB Dual Air Compressor. This was the method I chose, depending why type of mounting bracket and your preference of electrical wiring you may choose to do it differently, but this was my method. In hindsight, I would not recommend running the switch power wire straight to the battery because the twin compressor has a fan th...

    Hello, I have method wheels 18x9 +25 with 35’s bmc and trimmed the pinch weld. You mentioned in another comment you have 37’s. You’re able to get full articulation with no rub at all?

    • @beehivetundra
      @beehivetundra 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is correct, the alignment is what helped move the tire away from the body mount. At factory specs the tire will still rub the body mount when turning so your alignment shop would need to make the final adjustments.

    • @beehivetundra
      @beehivetundra 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Once on the highway I can stay around 14-15mpg loaded. But I keep my mph between 70-75. If I drive slow say around 70 and under my mpg can stay above 15 pretty reliably.

    Whatcha supposed to do if you break something out there like ur rear diff or bust a while in your Trans?

    • @beehivetundra
      @beehivetundra ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve got skid plates protecting the oil pan, transfer case and transmission, so busting a hole in that is very unlikely. But if it did happen then I’ll just have to get towed out. If I destroy a rear differential I can still drive out in 4x4 using just the front differential, this already to me once before with my 4Runner and that’s how I got home. Other than that, I carry spare CV axles since those are more likely to break.

      It’s on the stiffer side. It was super harsh when the springs were first new. But I’ve had them for a few years and they’ve softened up (or I just got used to it) but early on it was quite rough.
