    Just got ARB air lockers and Nitro 5.29 gears installed last week and a HP Tuning reflash of the ECU today. Massive difference in performance and capability. Crazy difference. Installing Ironman Foam Cell Pro coilovers and rear shocks this week.

      I thought about switching over to the foam cell pro suspension. You’ll have to do a review on it

      @@beehivetundra I installed the Ironman Foam Cell Pro rear shocks. They replaced the Bilstein 5160s I had on it. Honestly, so far I would say the Bilstein 5160s are a better, more comfortable ride. The Ironman Foam Cell Pros rear shocks are stiff and the rubber bushings are squeaky. The Bilsteins didn't squeak at all.

      @@beehivetundra But the Ironmans may break in. 🤷‍♂️ Getting the front coilovers assembled (not installed) Thursday along with the diff gear oil getting changed as my break in period is over. I will be installing my front coilovers myself and then I'll take it somewhere locally to get it aligned. I had to find a place to assemble them because neither I or other shops in the area had a spring compressor beefy enough to compress the springs enough for the correct amount of preload.

      @@tribunation I agree. I assembled some foam cell pro’s and the preload is nuts on them. I used a 10 ton press to assemble them. Not looking forward to doing another set anytime soon. It sketches me out that single nut on the top hat is holding all that pressure 😂

    Great Build. I have a 2019 CC on 37's with 6" lift. I need to either drop to 33's or go to 5.29 gears. I'm in Ogden. Who did your gear swap? I would probably go with Eric at AXIS but I know he prefers solid axle work

      I went to Agility Customs for the gear install and Geoffrey did fantastic work. Fast turn around time, good communication and quality work, my gears are quiet.

    Hey bud I was wondering what your RPM'S are on the highway say at 70mph with the 529's gears and 37's any info would be greatly appreciated 👍

      I haven’t calibrated my speedometer so the following info might be weird. So true GPS 70 mph I’m running at about 1950 RPM but the Speedo reads about 63 mph. If I have the speedo at 70 mph then my RPM is about 2300 RPM but my true GPS speed reads 77 mph.

      @@beehivetundra Only 200 or 300 RPM over stock is not bad at all I like to cruise at 80+ mph . Not sure about doing 80+ on 37"s? I had a jeep back in the day on 38's and honestly it was kind of scary on the highway over 70mph lol with a good Alignment lol 😆thank you for the info 🙂👍

    Why did you choose the Eaton over ARB's air locker?

    • @beehivetundra
      @beehivetundra  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Too often I hear of the copper line inside the differential rubbing on the ring gear and getting a leak or the Teflon line getting a pinhole and you end up with lockers that won’t activate. You could chalk it up to installer error why take the risk? With Eaton you have a factory behavior with electronic locking at the push of a button and peace of mind. At the end of the day it was just my personal preference to run it.

      @@beehivetundra thanks. Have you had any issues with them temporarily disengaging while in reverse?

      Honestly I couldn’t tell you yet. I need to put them through further testing to know for sure whether or not that’s an issue or cause for concern. But I’ll make a future video with real trail results and performance soon.

      @@oversizedoverlanding2365 just in case you’re wondering, I’ve put them through the paces and have had zero issues with unlocking while reversing back off an obstacle. You can see them in action on my flat iron mesa video and it performed amazingly.
