Hey Ian. Thanks for watching 🙌🏼 I can definitely relate. For the kind of trip I’ve just done I found the Shimoda to be perfect and 100% needed. We hiked a lot and needed to carry food, hydration packs and layers in addition to the camera gear which included a drone. I also wanted my camera mounted to my shoulder so I could stop and shoot easily. It was pretty packed out despite me shedding as much weight as possible for the big hike days. Let’s say by the end the snacks and fluids were all done so a lot lighter 😉 However, when I’m home and doing little day trips in to London that’s where I can go more in the direction you mentioned. I actually use an AER sling. It’s awesome. Not padded but if I’m taking my A7cII + say 40mm it fits easy with little accessories and personal items. It’s a very freeing experience too 😄

Hey Michael. For me I like the cii. I haven’t had the chance to use the R. I think for purely photography I’d go with the R and get the 60mp. But as I’m a bit more hybrid I like what I have, and find the 33mp enough. Are you using one?

@@HannahYoungPhotography Hi Hannah, At one point this year I had the R and my trusty A7RV and had to choose which one to hang on to when I was offered a Leica Q3. The two Sonys have a very similar spec but the A7RV has a fab viewfinder so the A7CR had to go. I miss it though.

Hey Danny. Amazing to have you watching from Canada, thank you ✌🏻 I had a real mind battle with very similar questions to yourself, especially pertaining to the f4 situation. Pulled the trigger in the end as realised on the wide end I rarely actually ‘need’ 2.8. But I did want something light and compact. Love the G series form factor & quality too. Compliments the A7cII perfect. I must say though that 16-25 has peaked my attention also 😈 And thank you - you’ve given me a good idea for a new video on this. Hope to make it soon… especially as I’ll be travelling with the lens for the first time next week…

@@HannahYoungPhotography - Thanks for getting back! Good point on the f4. I’ve currently got the 24mm f1.4 GM and it’s amazing but large and not wide enough. My kit is similar to yours with a 40mm 2.5g and an 85mm 1.8 but haven’t dialed in the wide yet. Sony lenses, too many lens options…. who would have thought. Anywho, keep up the great videos!

@@HannahYoungPhotography Yea it’s been really nice! I leave my cleaning kit and stuff at the hotel and even the spare battery and even put my wallet and phone and a bottle of water in there sometimes 😂 And I just really used the DJI for the first time a few weeks ago on a vacation in Mexico and it actually surprised me! Used it for beach footage, swimming in cenotes and my first ever scuba diving experience (36 feet dive with no dive case) and it did excellent in all the scenarios.

@@shittytownguides1910 I’m really impressed with the quality too. Yet to be used under water so glad to hear it stood up to the test….

Fits nicely in, I’m also surprised when I look at is all laid out 😉 So far been pretty lucky with the drone on my travels, especially since having the mini it is a lot more discrete. However it is certainly not used in all situations…. Thanks for watching 😊

Tough call. It’s funny as I feel the drone is very valuable on a dedicated photo landscape kind of trip but this is like 10% of the time of my overall shooting. Therefore perhaps the camera has more value!? Maybe depending on how big an upgrade it is!? 🤔
