      I have just bought the 25L of the same bag. I also own the Gura Gear Kiboko City Commuter. In some ways, the Gura Gear is better. Holds more item and is actually comfier. The Shimoda looks nicer

      @@darrenhaken ooo I’ve never heard of Gura Gear. Must check them out… thank you 😄

    Another great video Hannah! I too purchased the Shimoda Urban Explorer bag during the Kickstarter campaign, but went with the 30L in Boa. It recently arrived and I am excited to get out and use it. Much like you I am excited about the integration of the capture clip in the shoulder strap. The overall look and feel of the bag is great. Thank you sharing your first impressions of the bag!

      Amazing thanks Alex as always for the support 🙌🏼 The boa does look so nice… hopefully you love it too 😄

      I also got the 30L Boa! One question for you, does the bag's side access aligns with the cube's side access? Cus mine doesn't fit perfectly on the upper side

      @HannahYoungPhotography  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jonathankevin2861 nice. Are you happy with the boa colour way? The side access did look to line up when I briefly tested it. Although I have to be honest I don’t actually use it. I’ll double check though….

    Forgot to close the side access on Peak Design bag and totaled my Sony 70-200 GM lens. At least with the Shimoda you can close the cube and you’re good. I got a 20L in BOA, love it

      This is SO sad 🫣 I know the exact move… it’s very sketchy. Took the Shimoda for first test run yesterday - super nice. Little envious of the boa 🙃

    The Bag looks perfect ! I can already imagine my wife shaking her head when I unpack yet another bag 🤣 Always in search for that Perfect camera ‘Stash’ bag ! Just wondering what caught your attention right at the end ?

      Aha. You need to master the ‘oh this old thing, had it years’ line. We have it down to an art 😉 I think that was me at the end checking my notes to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything major 😂

    Super interested in this. I ended up with a WANDRD PRVKE 21 because I couldn't wait around for this thing to be available, but I fear there's a risk I'll still end up copping one... 😆

      I’ve also previously had the WANDRD PRVKE which I did like a lot but I have to say this is a definite upgrade - you’ll love it. I mean if you buy one that is 😉

    Looks good. But does it have any side access to the cube. I use PD usually and totally get what you say about opening it, (touch wood I have yet to drop anything but…) and I do find PD straps a little lacking in comfort for 20l options… these look nice.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Ps the audio is so much better now with your new mic. 👏

    • @HannahYoungPhotography
      @HannahYoungPhotography  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does actually, you can unzip the cube which lines up with the side access. So win win. I took it out with me today. It’s next level comfy to the PD. As you said the straps aren’t amazingly padded. This is a definite plus upgrade in that department 👍🏻
      Thanks so much for watching too. Slowly making the upgrades, happy the audio is better 🙌🏼

    There are things that this bag really nails and just a couple things that miss the mark for me. The shoulder straps are great, as someone who's shoulders have endured a couple lifetimes of abuse this is #1 on my must have list. I loaded more gear than I would normally carry and went for a hike. This is probably the most comfortable camera-oriented backpack I've worn. The bag itself is very well made and I really like the side organizer, its perfect for my field notes, pens etc. I agree with you on the interior color, much better than the usual dark fabric.
    For me there are two things that bug me. The first is it falls over all the time! This won't bother some people, but this is a real pet peeve of mine when it comes to camera backpacks. The other is lack of space for non-camera gear like socks, shirt, hat etc. You can fit a little in the top compartment, but I could use more space. I thought maybe the 25L would give me a more space, but the upper compartment doesn't appear to be any bigger.
    You can pick at individual aspects of anything, but as a whole this is an awesome backpack.

      Absolutely spot on. I’d have to agree with you on that top section being a tad small now that I’ve used it a bit. Not much space for extra clothing. I thought perhaps I should have gone for the 25l, but maybe it is not much difference? 🤔 Otherwise absolutely LOVING it. It is the comfiest bag I’ve ever had ✌🏻 Going to Madeira for some hiking/photos in a couple of weeks so this will be a true test 😮‍💨

    This is a bag that unfortunately will not fit a camera like a Nikon Z9 (standing up) or for example a Z8 with battery pack.

      Ah that is a shame... which bag are you using for it?
