Koa are great when you have young children because it’s nice to have running water and sewer when you need to clean kids up and all the things that go along with that. We enjoy the pools and playgrounds for the kids knowing that when we go there it’s a resort and not a forest camping experience.

6 years and I’m here. Haven’t replaced any of the parts but have been taking it apart the past two years when the tracks and rollers came off alignment. Started well this season and now it’s not doing anything. Considering cutting my losses and getting a replacement

What you didn't allow for here in evaluating your training's efficacy is to what extent Cosmo **wanted** to be in the rig rather than back on the ground...and going back on the ground not only was more dangerous looking down at where he could fall, it was not where wanted to be and he certainly didn't want to leave the inside of the rig which, no doubt, correlates in his mind with **wheee, going with dad*** stuff. He's a sweet old boy, so tolerant of the mere 'humans' that you (and we all) are...good ol' friend-boy! Would like to know, maybe I missed it, the weight capacity of the stairs... and ur stairs were still a little unbalanced, tilting to the viewers' right just a bit...better to have that VERY slight tilt go towards the car door so the dog, when it's doing the most dangerous-seeming act of descending, feels stabilized on one side and would move with more confidence. They WANT to jump bcuz it is, in their world and the angle at which they live, more seemingly safe to jump than it is to navigate those crunched up stairs. Would've like to know weight of dog and rating of ramp or maybe I missed that. THX for your efforts... as you attempt behavioral modifications with your sweet, 4-legged, BFF, can you see if you can quiet yourself completely and send your senses into your dog ... imagine you perceive sound, smell,... just as he experiences it and you were just kind of along for the ride. Just deeply relax and see to what extent you can kinesthetically **feel** your dog, the slightest movement or sensory perception... be him (so to speak) and create that level of a bond... if so, it will grow to enormous extents in all your inter-species interactions. The cord is the weak point of this unit. It is a poor design. The cord leaks.It won't last a season. It has nothing to do with the quality of the water.The swivel component of the cord is faulty.

We have stayed at that KOA twice and owe them a debt of gratitude. They accommodated us when the other RV parks in the area were closed and rolled out to find us a site and get us settled. Generally we stay at KOAs, because they have sites when other CGs do not. The down side to KOA is that many were located directly next to loud Interstate traffic or train tracks. We look long and hard for ones that offer a quiet stay and Albuquerque is better than most. We have never used KOA pool or bathhouse facilities, and we have walked away from the high price of Holliday parks. We find the Journey parks to be competitively priced, their reservation system convenient, and their management to be helpful and suopportive. They are not the only chain we use, but often find them to be the right solution for the location.. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Im about to buy this. Single female, gonna install myself in roof. Never done anything like this. Gonna try to follow old Hughesnet mount/holes/cables so i dont have to drill... Anything else need to be done with cables, like grounding, etc? Im also not looking forward to getting up in the crawlspace with all the scorpions and spiders...

Mine did the same thing after exactly 4 years. I took it apart completely, and I found that the wires connecting between the cord and the circuit board were completely burned up. Very high resistance. I replaced these connections and she worked but I couldn’t find parts to do it right so I don’t know how long this repair is gonna last. But there’s obviously a problem in the design for this to be happening. The swivel connectors on these also go bad. Overall the design is not great.

I assume it happened because you never used it.

I think the easiest way to empty this is to stick the tube from another vacuum cleaner into the hole in the bag and turn it on to suck out all that crap and dust in there.

Wow… we now accept INFERIOR quality because when compared to paying someone else to do it, it’s cheaper. 🧐 It’s sad that companies calculate how to increase PROFITS more than they consider how to create QUALITY products. What can we do? People with pools are considered well able to afford these expenditures on low quality products.

Tighten up the screws on the door hinges, especially the top one. That will fix the door issue.

Marathon is a little larger then your typical sized station. Though AOR has changed for many stations in the U.S., some smaller stations are larger then before. Depends on the units co-located there. For example, Station Gulfport MS. VERY large station but they also have a couple of 87ft patrol cutters there. Having stayed at Sta Marathons cottages, 1984, you are right, it's a well kept secret. Was stationed on the Diligence when it was in Key West back in 81-83 so used to pass Marathon and Islamorada many times. For camp grounds/cost, the SEABEE base in Gulfport has LOTS of spots (none under shade) but not far from the beach. Last time I checked, like $20+ bucks a night.

People spend lots of time trying to figure out how to use the the LP line on the RV, but this is just so much simpler. I like simple.

KOA's seem to be higher than Motels in many areas. SAD!

I have a Dolphin Plus that I purchased on Amazon in 2016. It died a couple years ago and I took it partially apart to find that the swivel part of the power cord had failed. I bought a replacement part that is the piece that connects to the cleaner for around $60 and that got it going again. It failed again a couple days ago with the same issue but this time I would have to replace the entire cord because the swivel connector is a piece of garbage. Instead of replacing the cord I cut the swivel connector out, waterproofed the connection and it is running again. 😊

Is insurance higher on an airstream compared to a fiberglass RV? I am guessing only an insurance company could tell us do to comparing apples to oranges on cost of each. Do insurance companies see an airstream as more fragile?

In other bad news, Maytronics has done away with the non-Wifi CC Plus version, lots of my older customers don't want to have the hassle of hooking up to wifi, then having to schedule the running cycles thru their phone. I hate this as I recommended this unit to many of my customers to replace the overly priced always breaking down Polaris. Nice video.

Im kinda in the same boat as you. But I figure I cant break whats already broke, and I might learn a little trying to fix this one. I hope you figure it out and have a good backup. Or fix the old one and return the new one inside 30 days. Thanks for the videos, shared experiences helps us all

Good tips. I also periodically run some bleach solution through the freshwater hose to kill any mold that might be in there.

I loved your video. I just bought one off Amazon, but it’s a folding one with carpet because my dog has to have an ACL knee operation and she’s nine years old Labradoodle. I was watching this and I know you have part two you did a great job I think the lease should’ve been way shorter. You can check if cable is bad by checking continuity using a multi meter if its cable a replacment cable is 150-170 bucks or you might be able to repair if its a pin in the swivle. Thank you for your timely video. My 4wd service light went on today after a short trip last weekend, but I had a different problem instead of the actuator itself. We have ground squirrels always running around our house and my two dogs always seem to chase them under our vehicles. They were chasing one as we returned and I did not notice that it ran under the truck to get away. One of the dogs chased it up into the motor bay and apparently chewed the actuator harness to get to it. Thanks to the video I started with your advise and immediately found the problem and repaired it fairly quickly. This is the second vehicle we've had this happen to, the first had so much damage that I traded it off. I will use a .22 rifle again to make a more permanent repair

I see no value in having these modules at all. The 3 station module costs 1/3 or more the price of a new timer. And why do they keep going bad on timers anyway. some timers operate well for 20 years out there, but a 5 year old module goes bad?

In my case it is with small tiles and it is not climbing the walls. He reaches the wall and keeps pushing until he ends up heading somewhere else.
