Love my Michelin Defender. I don't like the look of the Agelis but more importantly they are not offering it in a 15" wheel.
I have multiple classic pickup trucks and still use the vintage 15" size.
I'm with you, I have Defenders on two vehicles.

3:45 in 2019 I bought 4 new Michelin tires from Discount Tire in Austell, Georgia. The tires could not be balanced and they messed up all 12 lugs nut on the right side of my F150.

Certainly. I am looking for new tires for my classic 1995 F-250 4WD and love Michelin tires but I'm trying cut costs a bit as I don't drive the truck everyday so I've narrowed it down to Cooper and General...the truck requires 10ply tires. @@LandingZoneHome
Hmmm.. don’t know if this information is totally accurate. I just purchased a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S for my tow vehicle, the date code on the tires is 11/23..

I bought a set 2 months ago. They are not discontinued. 2 dealers told me they were their most requested for trucks

You are correct. Tires are super important. We use the Michelin CrossClimate2 on my wife's Pacifica. Great rain and snow grip, just a bit noisy, at least in the 20". For our Ram 2500 I use the Continental TerrainContact AT. I have 20k on them and they have been fantastic. Of course we have the Goodyear Endurance on our Airstream. Have to wonder why Goodyear would make an exclusive deal with Discount Tire. Does that mean Airstream has to order from Discount Tire as the Endurance is standard on their TTs?
At a minimum Discount Tire receives a royalty anytime an Endurance tire is purchased. Appreciate your comment and thanks for watching.

I think Michelin is either slowly phasing them out or decided to keep that tire in production. Thats fine with me, I have two vehicles running the Defender now. Thanks for watching.
@@LandingZoneHomeI just purchased a set today for my 2004 Sequoia. The guy at Pep Boys said the tires are selling well. I watched this video several hours after leaving the store so I didn’t know to ask him about it but it doesn’t seem like they’re being discontinued any time soon.

Sorry but I'm not familiar with that tire. But basically anything from Michelin is usually good.
We've heard a lot of positive comments for the past couple years about the GY Endurance tires. U-Haul uses Carlisle tires on all of their trailers. Most are the Carlisle Radial Trail HD 8-ply which are also available at Discount Tire and recognized as a premium option. So, what to do to replace our Chinese-made Castle Rock tires that have the worst reputation in the industry? Goodyear, Carlisle, or this new Michelin???
The Goodyear Endurance is considered the industries best trailer tire from all of the reviews I have ready and conversations with tire experts "and" RV owners. Depending on what size you require the Michelin Agilis could be an option however I think it starts at 16" and goes up. When it comes to tires the best option is never the cheapest. My Class C came with the Michelin LT255/75R16 115/112R load range E and those tires are coming near to the end of their life span based on the manufacturer's date stamped on the tire. Based on what your video said, I should be able to find the Defender (tire listed above), but if not is the LTX a suitable replacement?
The Defender is still available. Just make sure it has the load rating you need.
Where did you get this info that the Defender LTX is going out of production? I still see plenty of availability everywhere and now it’s about a year after your video. It would be strange if they were to discontinue this top selling tire. Maybe you have it confused with the renaming of the LTX series in recent years, or the production pause that happened during covid. Now you have me very confused.
Yes it has been about a year and I can't remember if it was Discount Tire only or if it was also on the Michelin website. It is a great tire but from my info it was to be replaced by the Agilis CrossClimate.
@@LandingZoneHome I see some discussions on the internet about the inability to order this tire during the peak of covid, and then Michelin steering people toward the Agilis tire instead when that happened, but that appears to be a production pause because of supply chain issues. However today I still see this tire active everywhere for sale. I am really curious if there is any confirmation about this, or if Michelin caused some confusion during that supply chain pause. I personally think that the Defender LTX M/S is not going to be discontinued because I cannot anything to confirm that idea.
They’re only updating the Michelins and they will be called the defender 2’s M&S
My local dealer said the new defender 2’s should be in stock in late October of 23

Got a set from Costco that can’t be rotated.

The hood deal at Costco was they balance and rotate the tire every six thousand miles.
So they install a set of tires that can’t be rotated.

I have had bad luck with Michelin and towing due to rock puntures..
No issues for me so far but sounds like you may be off road some. Thanks for the comment.
