Cattle Town indeed, did you get a whiff of Dodge City? OTOH, I had the most amazing $8 steak of my life there, roadside diner, so so tender, one of the best restaurant deals I have ever enjoyed. I have paid over $100 in places like NYC/Tokyo/L, yes, they were good, but it really makes you wonder!

Yes I did but the wind makes all the difference. Thanks for watching.

@@LandingZoneHome nice little city there, I stayed on the outskirts as I was riding motorcycle from Colorado to Texas on a tight schedule/budget 20 years ago (now am semi retired so can stay there), no time for tourism. But I like what I see there I would stay a day or two b/c of what you have shown. Also, my roadside diner was right at the edge of one of the big stockyards. Nice video.

@@JackHunnicutt it was summer of 2000 so may be double the price by now? It was on the lunch menu (I was there around 1:30pm), I stuck mostly to major roads but avoided interstates, hope that helps!

Thank you for this video. My wife and I are thinking about taking our fifth wheel to Dodge City for a little RV get away. You showed this place very well. Can I ask you something? Did you have any problem with loud train noise by the campground? I heard one man say the train track sits almost on top of the KOA. I have no idea since I've never been there. Thanks again for a great video.

With any small town you're not too far from the train tracks but we had no issues at all with noise. We slept with all windows closed so that may be the difference. I think you will like the area, we would like to go back. Thank you for watching and hope you had a chance to Subscribe. Happy Travels.
