You’ve been lied to about boredom
มุมมอง 9489 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Be bored. The following was written by a robot: This video challenges the old belief that boredom is something to avoid, explaining how modern society’s craving for constant stimulation-through social media, mobile games, and news-has led us to forget the value of boredom. It highlights how our avoidance of boredom blocks creativity, using examples like J.K. Rowling, who conceived Harry Potter ...

I forgot... See you tomorrow. The following was written by a robot: This video challenges the common belief that a video with 1 million views is 10 times better than one with 100k views. Using a money analogy to illustrate the point (like comparing US dollars to Jamaican dollars), it explains that it’s not just about view count-it’s about the quality of those views. The video presents a hypothe...

Happy iterating. The following was written by a robot: This video explores the concept of mastering a craft through 10,000 iterations rather than just 10,000 hours, inspired by Naval’s take on the well-known 10,000-hour rule. It highlights how adopting an iterative mindset helps creators embrace failure and continuous learning, with each attempt serving as a stepping stone toward improvement. T...

Hi Jay. You say it didn't work, but do you mean in terms of views and new subs? Because i think it did work from a viewer's perspective. I have watched ,I think, 100% of these daily videos. You are extremely mature and sage for your 28/29 yoa.( I think kids in school should have you as their coach). Keep up the good work. And by the way, it is so refreshing to hear someone speak in good 'English' without putting the f word everywhere, so whatever you come up with next, don't change your way of presenting yourself.

Very relatable insight! At times when I've went super hard on putting out videos, I did notice their value being watered down. Like you said, I was creating content for content's sake. I suppose there's a balance to be found here. Between consuming and creating. Between giving advice, and actually living life, so you have advice to give in the first place (lol). Thanks for this video Jay, made me feel like I'm not alone.

I’m excited to see how you pivot and what framework you give yourself to work with next. Knowing when to quit and what to aspects to quit shows a healthy amount of self-awareness. @@thejayalto Hey Jay, I’ve been a long-time admirer of your work on Twitter, especially your insightful analyses on thumbnails, titles, and human behavior. Your content there was incredibly valuable, and it taught me a lot even before you posted your first video on this channel. However, I’ve noticed that your videos seem to focus more on philosophical aspects, which, while interesting, don't always offer the practical advice that I-and I believe others-were hoping for. I think many of us were drawn to your content because we wanted actionable tips on how to improve our videos and grow our channels. While the philosophical discussions are thought-provoking, I often find myself feeling like something is missing by the end of the video. I’d love to see more of the practical, hands-on advice that made your Twitter content so compelling. Thank you for all the work you put into this, and I hope this feedback is helpful in some way.
