I did a 100 day case study on my channel, and man by the end I was happy it was over, but then I missed it the next day... but I needed a break. And I like what you said and it's true, "your just making content for contents sake..." but then again that is the "job" at some point if you're a content creator... right? LOL great series you put together, look forward to the next upload.

Hi Jay. You say it didn't work, but do you mean in terms of views and new subs? Because i think it did work from a viewer's perspective. I have watched ,I think, 100% of these daily videos. You are extremely mature and sage for your 28/29 yoa.( I think kids in school should have you as their coach). Keep up the good work. And by the way, it is so refreshing to hear someone speak in good 'English' without putting the f word everywhere, so whatever you come up with next, don't change your way of presenting yourself.

Nicely done Jay. I think I watched about 75% of your dailys. I think the main thing I took from it was getting a chance to understand you much more. And that was a cool insight, one that took me from a casual viewer of yours to one who is much more invested in what's to come. Inspiring.

I also posted daily & quit after 41 days 😅 my reasons are a bit different tho. I shouldn’t have tried to revive my channel that i grew years ago as a teen with funny vids. I left for 6/7 years & came back like youtube would just forgive me lol. So I’ll be posting on a new channel almost daily/minimum once a week

damn, the daily vids had pretty much become a part of my routine, solid source of inspiration and motivation haha! I think you should reformat into building shotform distribution first and use it as top of the funnel! Regardless, waiting eagerly for more :)

"My priority has always been to find something I truly want to make, that people want to watch" Can you make a video about this? It's been impossible for me to find that. How do I know what videos do I really enjoy producing? Should I try making different videos/formats and try different niches?

Goals have an objective purpose. Experiments have an objective. Would you say you found your antihypoethesis? I cannot wait to see your next experiment. I think this one shared a lot about the current trajectory of entertainment, our motivations, and our will to power. You sir, are strong. This realization often doesn't come to people after 45 days too ... if only we thought of our actions and goals more like experiments!! Define, measure, and assess. ✨

Very relatable insight! At times when I've went super hard on putting out videos, I did notice their value being watered down. Like you said, I was creating content for content's sake. I suppose there's a balance to be found here. Between consuming and creating. Between giving advice, and actually living life, so you have advice to give in the first place (lol). Thanks for this video Jay, made me feel like I'm not alone.

My suggestion will be to have a goal, not related to TH-cam, from your personal life that is close to your heart and follow that passion and while doing that document your journey.

Experiments are awesome! Thanks for sharing the insights you gained from this one. TH-cam seems like an incredible place to experiment within. I’m excited to see how you pivot and what framework you give yourself to work with next. Knowing when to quit and what to aspects to quit shows a healthy amount of self-awareness. Emphasizing quality over quantity seems like the right move for you right now. Quit before you “jump the shark” as an older generation (like mine) might be thinking to themselves... Good luck with the next one!
