Thinking about it as a huge number to hit (like 10,000), is great, because if someone "makes it" and it only takes 1/5 the time, it's not like they're gonna be pissed about it. Have a great weekend Jay, and all y'all out there!
Success is built on persistence. As Confucius said, 'It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop.' Each attempt refines your path. Embrace the journey, and the breakthrough will follow.
I really like the reframing from 10k hours to 10k iterations because it really does test your mindset to become more dynamic You can grind mindlessly for 10000 hours in any RPG and it will presumably get you somewhere but only on a statically higher level If you do 10000 runs of a game changing various things, you probably know more than the developers do at that point Maybe a bad example, but the jist is that you have to be engaged with the creation processes Most people go through this life thing all willy nilly, being engaged will put you "ahead" at the very start, at least
This is kind of part of the reason I think creators should create two TH-cam channels. One channel is where you upload your content you put effort into. The second channel is the spam/practice channel where you upload anything as long as it relates to improving your skills for TH-cam. Maybe you aren't as good as talking on camera on your main channel so you upload random videos on the second channel where you talk about anything without worrying about views because it'll improve your on camera skills for the main channel. Maybe you suck at motion graphics so you make test edits and upload it for the second channel. And then eventually once confident in your skills you incorporate motion graphics into the main channel etc
It's funny you mention that because I was just thinking of the same thing. My channel is so cluttered and I've learned how to do so much better than when i started 4 years ago I kinda want to start fresh but I don't want to lose what I've built up either
@@Shardcives Oh hey Shard! I recognise you from the Creator Now discord haha. Honestly why not just start a second channel because then you aren’t losing what you’ve already built. And then on the second channel you can just practice making what you want/improving your skills without worrying about views. And then everything you learn from that you can implement into your main channel
Ngl this went over some ppls head lol they dont understand the concept 😂 They dont understand that its just about putting in the work to get the experience to become better. Work, reps, variation vs hours. Like an athlete practices 2-3 a week, works out 3-5 a week, performs once a week. In those hours are x100s of reps (in this case 1000s attempts). You get better by doing reps and variations not hours. They correlated but different Great vid
Are you saying....because I'm on my 280th video......I need to post another 9,820 videos before I finally post a good one? ......I guess you watched some of my videos to know this...........I suppose you're right.
Hey Jay , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
You said there are plenty of peoples that spent 10,000 Hours but that lead them nowhere. However, these are not related. Malcolm Gladwell said it made you a master not that it would make you successful or lead you anywhere. Mastery has no relation with success
Bro it's gonna be so cool in like ten years when this whole community is successful creators

Now you are 999 true fans from making it.

Another amazing video, thanks Jay
See you on Monday indeed
I have made over 700 bad videos. I just have 9,300 more to go.
Bro I have done the same. I feel you.
Yessir 😃
The question is how do you define "Making it" ?
See ya monday Jay. Another banger set of videos this week!
After uploading like 70 videos on youtube 30 here in this channel and 50 on other . Yesterday I hit 1k views on one video😊
Are you saying....because I'm on my 280th video......I need to post another 9,820 videos before I finally post a good one?
......I guess you watched some of my videos to know this...........I suppose you're right.
Nope cause you're not much learning and trying to improve, you can practice the wrong swing 10,000 times it wont make it right

Don't take advice from this guy. He hasn't 'made it' himself.
