Anyways Cúchulainn's line here is further proof that when a person is possessed, they're no longer there anymore. Instead it seems the Lucavi are granted their host's memories so they can better impersonate them

And totally agreed on that I think people forget that the Demon is the one in total control. It's like if they were human and partially in control Elmdore should go back to reporting to Goltanna lol
I disagree. I think they are still there, but they merge with the Lucavi, so they also inherit all the Lucavi’s knowledge, meaning they lose themselves. They become something else and the Lucavi’s goals take point. But, Wiegraf took great risk to fight Ramza 1 on 1 in human form. Dycedarg also cursed his brothers just after transforming. I think the stronger the will of the original host, the longer or the more a part of them will remain and especially negative feelings like revenge carry on. But, the more time passes, the less the original person remains. For example, Vormav is almost 100% Hashmal I think.

I love the music in this game, but the music here is incredible. It perfectly captures the “WTF?” feeling of Ramza not only being betrayed by the Cardinal but also how unexpected and freakish the first Lucavi is.

Honestly this shit gives me some low-key berserk vibes. I played this as a kid and I thought it was pretty creepy when I first saw the stones power. But coming back as an adult after seeing the 1997 berserk anime I can't help but think someone was slightly influenced. Zodiac stones are practically behelits that the apostles in berserk wear. Then turning into freakish hell beasts?
He always reminded me of Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas 😁

It cracks me up that the naive Ramza (he was getting there, mind you) refused to believe that it was the Cardinal, to the point where he got visibly agitated. Its almost sweet how Ramza, despite knowing that he was a corrupt man of the cloth, refused to believe that he'd ever straight up become a demon, and so thought he had simply vanished or gone elsewhere.
lol tbh I think he got here in Chapter 2 and for nearly the rest of the game. Although handing over Folmarv and Loffrey the scriptures he was deceived lol.
But I think he gets it at this point in time but seeing this Demon would kinda wtf shock anyone and everyone lol

I missed this one...I have my doubts...Unlike Wiegrafs Battle, here Delacroix claims that he was aware that he turn into a Lucavi (Or maybe the Lucavi was lying)...in other words, my question would be if Wiegraf or Eldmor from the first chapter, were the same persons from the chapter 3...or is just 50 % themselves and 50 % Lucavi, or just 100% Lucavi...Also i ve heard that Eldmor died somewhere in between chapter 1/2.
I've always thought that the location completely take over when the host transforms. As for elmdore, he probably was gravely wounded like wiegraf and succumbed to the lucavis promise of life and power. The game makes it seem like you have to make the choice to accept their help. Kind of how old vampire rules wouldn't let them in your house until you invited them in.
Hi good question. At this point he is probably possessed or has been for quite some time. As for Wiegraf he only gets possessed when we see him make a deal with Velius.
Elmdore later gets possessed after being killed. (There is a rumor in Chapter 3.)
So at this point I want to say they aren't themselves anymore.
I was just reading this another day, but I play original FFT this time, so translation is different.
Also, Qúchulainn's naked butt was facing my screen when he was fighting me, so that was an awkward moment... XD

Dialogue is sometimes so hard to come across. Wiegraf is a powerful character!
Oh yeah it is. From what I recall this dialogue option isn't shown in the script guide for both versions too
@@J7Jase that’s what I was saying about the guide. It’s a straightforward script. The writer didn’t put any (or barely any) dialogue that requires drawing out battles or specific things to happen in order to activate extra dialogue. It’s well done for players who don’t plan to grind.
I never saw these messages in all of my playthrough. Agrias's Holy and Time Mage's Gravity kill him before his second turn 😂

Yeah the Lucavi are possessing them so what you see isn't the real Cardinal.
From what I know, I'm not sure I want to say Folmarv/Vormav was probably first and then the others.

Some of these can be a bit tricky to trigger in all honesty. Either waiting it out, reducing HP of target, Ramza and so on
