this screenshot right here at 0:15 tormented me for at least 15 years. That map is nowhere to be found in game, but it is on the back of the case, and I always thought that it was a hidden map somewhere. I searched strategy guides, I put hundreds and hundreds of hours into the game and always wondered how I could be missing it. All from one screenshot.
To my knowledge it's not an accessible map in the PS1 version even if you have access to all the map files right? Wonder if they made it purely to show off Bahamuts animation in the this commercial because his arms line up perfectly with that tower.
I think they later used that map for Goug town, where you and Mustadio first come in and agree to meet later at the slums. No fight there, just the cutscene.
Very cool trailer. Back in the day Square sent me a VHS tape that went into depth on FFVII. At the end were previews of other upcoming games, the last of which was FFT. The only thing I remember about that was a cutscene of knights riding chocobos in formation under a bridge (I think that made it into the PS version of the game and played on the demo) and a shot of meteor being cast.
Can never beat the old days. That must have been really cool to watch and see 👍 I know there must be some other footage out there of other things such gold
Truly the best the series had to offer at the time, I'd love a trpg adaptation of the jobs, encounters, and even some of the story boss fights as well. I enjoy watching your theory crafting and mod content. Keep up the good work. May the light of the crystal shine upon you, hero.
Yeah I love FFT lol as you can tell. It was just something that was above and beyond. And thank you for this wonderful comment. More FFT to come as usual
Np thanks for watching it, this was old footage and the original TH-cam channel seems to be inactive but this is so gold. If he/she ever returns and wants it down I'll gladly do it
Would be nice if we got some info about the ins and outs of development and what was ultimately changed in the story. I wonder if Matsuno has ever spoken about it in public.
@@Mochiette I used some image to text translation software just now. This is what I got: Knight Delita "Ramza, come on!- It's still in time now!" Ramza "I do not know! Delita, I do not know." Probably not perfect, but it doesn't seem to be very consequential dialogue.
From what I know quite a bit was taken out of the game, including Delita's side story lol. I wish we got more as well but it is cool to see this stuff which clearly was not in the final game or changed completely
I remember when buy this game for the first time,i accidently saw 0:15 footage at back cover and i be like 'i never see that fight scene honestly😅' And i saw this video....ooooo i see EARLY ALPHA TEST no wonder🤣

Hey thanks for the comment. I actually had no idea about the link you just sent. Although it looks like he is inactive too I want to say. But I did use the video of the one in my description lol. Not his. Thank you for showing me this older update though
Why can't they just put out little side quests of this game as DLC? I'm sure millions of people would pay $20 for a Chapter with 15-20 levels of untold events
@@rossrobertson674 Millions might be a stretch at this point in time lol. Like I love FFT but I don't think it would ever outsell FF7. Even the second part sold maybe 2 or 3 million copies. But another prequel game or a remake with all the intended content would be cool.
@@J7Jase ya but the full game in 1998 was $60(CND) plus tactics game (especially FFT) didn't have the fan base it has now, $20 today would be like spending $8 in 1998, u take all the fans from N/A, Europe and Asia and I think millions would buy a legit Square-Enix release of a quick dlc/side quest, although I do agree they missed the peak time for doing this
@@rossrobertson674 I mean never say never in life lol. Assuming if VG Sales is accurate or at least somewhat Even War of the Lions on both PSP And Mobile combined didn't exceed 1.5 million in sales. I'll still buy it for sure though. I just feel the main ship set sail and most of the Final Fantasy fan base is just old and they gotta bank on their old fans and nostalgia.
I can't wait until it's 1997

I kinda wonder whereeeee that fight scene is
LITERALLY ME TOO. I thought I was the only one!!! I feel so validated now lol

Such a shame

Yeah its super nice. I'm surprised how it changed so much from this to the final product lol
I never seen such promotional material in the 90s. I was 1 year old when the game came out. So, this channel is like a time machine for me.
Nice and glad to hear it! Glad to have people that love FFT
very smooth lancer animation 0:18
