E-bike Christmas searching
I'm in the Christmas spirit tonight. So, let's go hunting for Christmas lights in Lafayette. It was super dark and my camera struggled to get a clear image during this ride. Definitely not my best work but it was a blast hunting for lights. The best part was all the people I made smile when they saw Santa.

SO RAIN WILL DAMAGE IT WHICH MEANS U CAN'T WASH IT EITHER??
I washed it the other day it’s fine. I’ll record a wash video next week
Yikes😫. Ive been there a few times 😭🤣
I just bought those nikes too, super pissed. But I rode away it could have been worse.
That's what you should have been wearing when you had that crash the other day. My house is one of those houses with a tune to sign and the Christmas show. I have one of those trees called a mega tree it's a bunch of LED lights controlled by a computer. The lights on the tree and the house are synced to music.
Thanks for watching the Santa suit. Would’ve definitely helped my fall better. The radio station houses with lights are so cool. I used to watch a bunch of those on TV and TH-cam. They look so fun but not so much to set up. Shoot me a picture on Instagram.
@E_bikeDad I would but I don't use Instagram. The first time setup is kind of hard. I have permanent lights on the house. Then I smelled a hole in the ground for a pole that goes down for the tree. So every year I just take the tree that has these strips on it and they're just all folded down and then I put it down and put this PVC pipe around it and put some zip ties to that for each one of the strips and set the computer up. And it all kind of comes on automatically at night at 5:15 and turns off at 10:00. I used to get a lot more people to come by and watch it but not that many people come by anymore. It's kind of like Halloween used to get a lot of kids now I don't get any.
Cool I just installed the permanent lights around the edge of my roofline and I can program them one by one or altogether with a theme. I don’t know why I didn’t get this sooner.
@E_bikeDad are they individually addressable LEDs ? If so this stuff becomes really addicting. You can run a progam from your phone called WLED and from there I ran a program called x lights on a computer. That's where it gets kind of tricky you have to do a lot of programming to get the lights to sync to music and then I got an FM transmitter and that whole thing went on and on. It was up a couple years and then I got some letter from the HOA (I really hate HOA'S ) but they talked about flashing lights and I'm the only one in the whole community with these flashing lights so I know who they were talking about. So not that next year but the year after I didn't put the tree up and put some boring light scene on the house. Then a couple of months later several neighbors came by and said hey what's the deal what's the deal with the Christmas light show how come there wasn't a tree up this year so I told him about the letter and I said you know I didn't think anybody even cared and everybody said don't pay any attention to that we do care we all want to see this up. So I put it back up. Screw the HOA
What size handle grips does it take cuz I ordered 7/8 grips n they don’t fit 😭 I asked someone and they said “any 7/8 grips will work” but they don’t fit
@@Freegox2 I haven’t changed the grips yet but it should be 7/8 grips. I had the same issue with my dirt bike. Are there a lot smaller or a little? I have stretched grips slightly with a heat gun but you have to be careful it could ruin the grips.
@ they were a lot smaller. the guy that i asked said they had to be like stretchable i guess, mine were soft grips bye they weren’t that stretchy
yo what lights are those 🔥🔥
Thanks the small ones only last 2 hours I need to find some different ones for there
That's why I'm not doing it. I know I would break something and it won't be the bike. Hope you alright.
I’m good in the grass the one time I go big on pavement it goes sideways
Your a dad lets not pretend we're younger
Better to be out living than inside dying. Or how ever that saying goes. I’ll never forget the rear brake again lol
I ride with medical knee leatt braces scooter ND bike avoid all problems
Well, the problem really was I tried to tap the rear brake with my foot again. And guess what there was nothing there lol I’m definitely looking at getting some knee sleeve. Also riding in jeans, not golf pants. I’ll be totally fine if I wasn’t wearing golf pants, the concrete ripped straight through them.
@E_bikeDad 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Was supposed to get the x2 red pro on Sat passed I guess the holidays so by the 23rd 2 week wait I'll have it I already got the shinko 241 the tu es MD new fardrive from e conic waiting can't wait
Be careful with changing the controller the bike has a custom harness on it, and there’s no place to plug in the Bluetooth dongle for editing the settings. At least on the X2 have not seen the wiring harness on the X2 pro yet. But that’s the reason nobody can reprogram their ex two because the company built a custom wire harness for the existing FarDriver controller. I know one guy that added the four wires needed to change the settings. If I had the time I would make a video on doing this process, but I just don’t right now.
@E_bikeDad no mine comes new harness ND everything (do u have an i.g I can follow
What a bummer. Hope you heal up quick.
You live and you learn, I guess. I watched the video over and over and I never even went for the rear break in my brain. I used my right foot like a dirtbike. It was just late and I wasn’t thinking.
Ahh sorry bro but your bike all good? Did you ever change your rear brake? Stock brake lever way too stiff. I was looping out all the time w it. Upgraded to the magura mt7 awhile back and never looping anymore . Huuuge difference .
@@Maverick098-m5b the bike is OK just ruined my left pedal. I had a hard time getting it off. I need to look for some sturdy mountain bike type pedals. I never change the rear brake. I was going to, but I got a lot of hate about switching from DOT brakes to mineral oil and I caved under the pressure so I sent them back. The problem wasn’t the brakes it was that I went back to my old habit of the foot break cause I watched the video yesterday and I never had my fingers on the rear brake
@E_bikeDad well it will be a problem. Mt7 Brake makes all the difference. I looped 8 times first week and a half, and would only attempt wheelieing on grass, was so sketch. But after changing the brakes, looped once but slow enough that I landed on my feet and was abr to hold bike up so no issue/no wreck. Never use grass no more and did a 12 second wheelie yesterday cuz the brake is so reliable. No fear of 12 o'clock
Maybe 8 seconds lol felt like days.
If I keep this bike I will end up changing the rear. But I’m thinking about moving up to a 72v bike. I don’t have the money yet but I need more power
Yep... My knee is just now getting well. Scraped it up the same way! 🤣😎👍🏾
Feels like my knee is on fire. Glad your healed up. live and learn a guess is my lesson 🤣
@E_bikeDad don't know about you but I'm 38. Things don't heal the same as they did in my 20s. 🤣🤣🤣 Guess I'm getting old.
did you ziptie that speaker to the front?
I made a full video of how I attached it on my channel
Did you change the rotor to the one you got in the link ?
no, I sent it back but It is still a good rotor when this one gets worn out I'm reordering it. I like the two-piece disc for heat dispersion
@ thought the rotor was a 160mm?? The 180mm would work good too??
On mine the 180mm was an exact match to the factory.
Hold a tape measure up to yours and then just convert it to millimeters
Nice Santa suit ND glass u still have a Helmet grew videos

What part of Louisiana ? I’m from Houma!
Around Lafayette
Is it waterproof? How do u wash it?
It depends on how dirty it is. I’ll be doing a video on washing it soon. But if it only has a little bit of dirt and dust on it, you can use a waterless wash spray. There’s a lot of different companies out there. I just bought the muck off E bike cleaning kit. But what I do is I remove the battery then I lightly rinse the entire bike. Wipe it down and then clean it with the waterless wash. Once I’m done, I take my leaf blower and blow off any excess water. You don’t wanna put your leaf blower too close because you don’t wanna shove water into components like your throttle and other wiring. You just wanna basically blow the water off of it lightly. Then I’ll let it fully dry before I ride it again. But most of the time I just use a waterless wash spray and a rag.
Was caught by a heavy storm for 30 mins worked fine right after
I tried using a plastic welder on mine/melting staple in to it in other words. Worked for about two days but then broke off somewhere. Plastic wellders not great but sometimes it works on stuff
@@Maverick098-m5b if it breaks again i have some ruin metal I'll mount under the light screws and make a new bracket.
thank you so much for watching all the way from Spain. This bike is definitely fun in an off-road setting like this. If you start uploading videos tag me in the comments so I can check them out.
@E_bikeDad I keep it in mind friend, take it for granted, I want to start soon, greetings
Muy buen consejo amigo,lo tengo en cuenta😅es bueno saber todo estos tik
thanks for watching
Happened to me aswell, had to fix her the same 😅
it’s crazy how that plastic weld works and it’s just as hard as the original plastic
so is this worth it? because i was looking at the e ride pros but u cant order them on amazon.
If you need the pedals so the cops don't mess with you get this. If the pedals don't matter get the eride pro as 2.0
Stick a thew ferrite beads on the horn wires there causing electronic interference with your halleffect sensors thats why you were getting the error
K
I took the chain off mine and derailer and bits and just keep the pedals on it to trick the cops
I'm doing that soon.
How you switch from miles to kilometers and back also i drilled into the frame and added riv nuts to it and mounted some foot pegs
Can't be switched. Look through the previous comment
Can you add a link to the mirror that you are suing please? Thanks.
I just dropped it in the description
@@E_bikeDad Hey brother I appreciate it. Do you have an affiliate link? You've been instrumental in me purchasing this bike and the accessories. You should get some reimbursement for what you are posting! BTW, I didn't see the mirror listed 😆
all my links in my video descriptions or Amazon affiliate links. I put the link in the description, of a bunch of my videos it's labeled side mirror.
Whr did you get that chain holder?
More tention in the chain. When you hit a bump the chain has slack. This way the chain stays up and out the way. I don't use the padels so this was the best option with out removing it.
Fun stuff bro 👍🏼
After this ride I wish I could hit the trails on a surron or eridepro
What state do you live in if you don’t mind me asking😊
Louisiana
How do you enter the advanced settings and whats the passcode
To open the advanced settings turn the bike on then hold the + and - at the same time.
Why couldn't you go up it? Not enough torque?
The incline is to steap
Did you checkout the full trail video? I stayed away from the big ravines.
You ever get an error instead of the speed ?
Yes what code? is it the error 24 when you honk the horn too many times.
I get a code when I'm pressing the brake and on throttle all the time and it trips me out until I realize
When I’m riding instead of the speed it shows 30 an error at the bottom in small letters
@@hellonearth4117 that's definitely throttle and brake at the same time.....Google says it's a communication error between controller and display....only happens to me while front brake is being pressed cause that's the only brake sensor I have
I unplugged my brake sensor so I don’t get that error. The only one that comes up is if I honk the horn three times I get error 24 and I have to come to a complete stop before I can go again. Somebody had commented about this in one of my past videos and it seems a bunch of people are having that same problem.
Let me know if you want to see a longer trail ride? Should I plan a ride with a group of e-bikes? I have never seen that done I think it would be fun.
Yes would be fun❤❤
Hell yea!
Group ride would be epic!
Can you tell me what the maximum height of the handlebars is? I can't find that info anywhere, nor can I find a phone number for them. I like the seat right over the pedals, and the seat height is good cuz I like my height up at 40 inches, so I like the handlebars to go up to 46 inches from the ground or as close to that as possible. I've looked all over for the best bike for me and this one seems to be it, but I would like to know the handlebar height max, or a phone number to call them at, or last would be an email. THanks in advance!
The handlebars on this bike are at 43 inches. If you’re looking for a bike that compares I would look at the MOVCAN V80 it’s almost the same bike, but a few of the parts are built better. The v80 is faster and goes 28 mph.
Are you gonna do a review on the x2 pro brother
I wish, I have asked Freego multiple times to send me a bike for a review. I don't have the funds to buy one myself.
Mine is due to be delivered this Saturday glad to see a decent and long riding video , I tend to enjoy riding videos might wanna start😉
Hope you enjoy it! e-bikes will open a whole new world for you. welcome to the club!

It was super fun
Is the frame durability good?
Yes I have no complaints
Looks fun! Can't wait for the full vid!
@@EvilsbaneDarkspearUS it was a fun ride
Does the bike weight 50 pounds with the battery? Wonder if I can carry it up my staircase for a condo
I haven't put it on a scale but it is definitely easy to carry. How many flights of stairs?
@@E_bikeDadone flight of 15 stairs. I’m curious if the weight is accurate I tried to reach out to the company but I haven’t heard a response yet
I'll try and weight it tomorrow
@@nutzackhines how did you reach out to the company, I can't find any contact info.
A rubber mallet would have worked great for that rim 😬😅💪🏾
“here we go” *proceeds to the opposite*
I had to go down the hill a little bit. It’s hard to see in the video. I would’ve played more, but the second I turned right I couldn’t hold on with one hand. All you see is the trees.
Awesome 👍🏼
I just went over the footage going through the woods and the audio is crap 😭 so I’m gonna have to voice over a lot of it
@@E_bikeDad ah dang, hate when that happens!
@@Gooseman7 I forget the neck mount rests on my shirt and I was wearing a vest with a zipper. It made a ton of scratching and clicking noise.
is there any way to disconnect the power cord? i need to take the tire into the shop
Yes, unscrew the controller and then take the wires off. Take a picture before you undo any wire so you know exactly where they go.
Is it true that this bike has no power with 2 battery bars left?
Yes, but that is just a meter display issue. I really go by the voltage more than the battery meter.
Hey i think i told you supposed to charge the x2 w battery switch in on position. . No. Those ppl wrre incorrect. Chatgpt: For charging the Freego X2 electric dirtbike battery, the red power switch (usually labeled "I" for ON and "O" for OFF) should typically be in the OFF position. This ensures that the battery is not actively supplying power to the bike's systems while charging, which can reduce the risk of electrical issues and improve charging safety. However, it’s always best to refer to the manufacturer’s user manual for specific instructions related to your model. If you don’t have the manual, I can help you look up the details-just let me know! Is there a chance it will shutoff the bms and cause battery to overcharge blow ChatGPT said: ChatGPT No, turning the red switch to the OFF position while charging should not shut off the Battery Management System (BMS) or cause the battery to overcharge. The BMS is designed to remain active even when the bike is off, as it controls critical safety functions like preventing overcharging, undercharging, and overcurrent. Here’s why: BMS Functionality: The BMS operates independently of the red power switch. It monitors and regulates the charging process to ensure the battery remains within safe operating parameters. Charging Safety: The charger itself is typically designed to stop providing current once the battery is fully charged. The BMS acts as an additional safety layer to prevent overcharging. Switch Position: Keeping the switch in the OFF position while charging is standard practice for most electric bikes and scooters. It ensures no power draw from the battery during charging, allowing the BMS to focus on managing the charging process. If you’re still concerned, monitor the charging process initially to ensure the charger shuts off automatically when the battery reaches full capacity. Additionally, ensure you’re using the original or compatible charger designed for your Freego X2.
Can you add a battery
I don’t have the skills for that, but I really want to put one
do you know how to take the crank and pedals off the freego? i’m trying to replace the pedals with pegs
No I haven't looked into that. But I'm sure it's the same as a regular bike. If I even decide to take mine off I'm taking the easy route and bringing it to my local bike shop.
My X-21 Max goes 22mph in eco, 42mph in sport. I'm 185lbs.
The x-21 max has a key pad that you can enter the advanced settings. It might let you open it up to a higher top speed.
Would you recommend a 10 a charger
I don't know if the cells are rated for 10A I think the max is 5
