I would love to but I have the freego X2 Pro and I can’t access the green/black brake plug clips due to different design and don’t have the access on this model any thoughts??
Yes because it's a safety feature so you won't accidentally hit the throttle while the breaks are applied but without it you won't have regen usually people unplug it just to do burnouts
I have the original ekx x21 and you can reprogram the controller from the display. Not sure about this controller. Because the original ekx x21 controller was made by the same company who makes the bike.
If you can do that through the display I don't know how there are no buttons to access the menu. unless its some combo if the horn light and Park button.
@@E_bikeDad i guess the original one is different. Has like a D pad. You can enter like 3 different menu layers. You can do stuff like control current to the motor. Etc..
More tention in the chain. When you hit a bump the chain has slack. This way the chain stays up and out the way. I don't use the padels so this was the best option with out removing it.
Just got mine but for some reason when I come to a stop for a minute or two it automatically goes into park. Do you know how I can stop the bike from doing that?
Yes, it turns green and fully charged the Manuel says to leave it green for an hour, but I normally only leave it for 20 minutes to 30 minutes after it turns green
I did that they don't even know what brake pads they have. All they sent was a picture of some brakes that had one set of pads that would fit and a second set that had the wrong mounts. ekx or ridstar has the pads you need.
@E_bikeDad oh weird. Thanks for all the info 👍 my bike won't be here for about 28 days so I'm living vicariously through videos of the x2 until then. Don't hesitate to posted any videos cuz nothing new to say or whatever . Post 👍 👍 😆 🤣 FYI eternal life in christ 😌 He called to serve him. Always careful not to neglect salvation amen 🙏
You can’t they program that from the factory in order to change any kind of settings you have to re-pin the harness that’s on it. I have a wire diagram that shows how to do it, but I don’t have the time to the controller.
@@E_bikeDad I just looked at some more of your videos and it seems like it is in mph. Your speeds from your phone pretty match the bike screens and on the bike screen it says miles/h under the speed.
thanks for this. i have been wondering about how to do this while i wait to order one. definitely going to just unplug them and find a way to completely remove the wire as well. just one more reason to be hyped over this bike now, cant wait! great video. for the error also possibly check that no wires are pinched, not just at the connection points. had an issue on a ebike i built that drove me nuts trying to find the cause and turned out to be a bad wire caused by a bad ziptie placement. what are you using to hold the chain up to the frame?
I’m gonna make a short video on that another time, but it’s basically a chain roller for pedal bikes But it doesn’t roll. It’s just a plastic thing that eventually the chain is gonna eat through it they send you to bottom pieces. But since I’m not doing any peddling, I got it to keep my chain tight and stop making noise. You hit a bump the chain flies all around also slapping the frame and making a noise since I installed this there’s no noise from the chain. I’m gonna have to upgrade my kickstand because when you hit a good bump, it makes a noise.
@@E_bikeDad yes this was my thought exactly as well since not pedaling i am going to want to do something similar. was even thinkin of a kickstand delete (my personal usage i always have a stand nearby) do you have a recommendation for the chain roller?
This is the best option thats out there. I put a link in the description of the one I bought. I really want to fabricate one that works like this but has a roller like on a SSR110 or KLX110 just with a swing arm bracket or under mount.
Honestly, I may drill the bottom bracket out and just bolt a chain roller to that part. I’ll cover it when I make the video on that piece and how I will customize it. But it might work and I don’t need to do anything. I have to test it and see.
Great thank you! Was hoping there was way to discomnect brake sensor. I ordered one 4 days ago but wont ship for another 22 days. Hella bummer on wait .
How old I’m not young anymore either man. Most of these guys riding are in their teens and twenties. If moneys not an issue I’d get a talaria or something that’s a 72 volt platform. At the price point of this bike the x2 you can afford to do some upgrading and still be way under the price of those bigger bikes. The first big modification that I’m doing on this bike is going to be to figure out how to get a bigger battery pack on this thing because if it had a 50 amp hour battery that would fix a lot of the shortcomings of this bike.
You know I didn't notice the error code when it happened, but I have the exact same problem you do. If I honk the horn it cuts the power. I found it if I keep the throttle going and honk the horn it seems to stay on but if I don't have any throttle and hit the horn it'll shut the power off and then I have to come to a stop to get it to go again. On a different topic. Is your battery plug connector loose ? because mine's real loose and it doesn't seem to make a good connection and I'm not sure it's charging the battery properly.
Yes, I have the same issue and what I’ve been doing is I time my battery and every now and then I go unplug it for a full two minutes then plug it back in. My concern about the battery is the time it takes to charge right now. My average is 10 hours. And that’s for a complete drain.
Start timing how long you charge your battery for I’ve been riding it on a sticky note when I charge so I can get an average to know how long it’s gonna take to charge. The other day I ran it till I was missing one bar and then charged it and it took three hours just for that last bar to charge.
@@E_bikeDad I'm going to take it out now and try what you are saying. I had it out yesterday and it went down 1 bar. I went 17 miles ( most of that was in economy mode),but when I got back to the house it went back up to full bars so I didn't charge it. I'll see where it goes down to today. It still seems like the plug from the charger to the battery is very loose.
Look at the chart I have on my range video by looking at the voltage your bike shows when you hit the throttle. you can look at that chart and it’ll tell you close to what percent full you are at.
The first night I tried charging it up. It was like 8 hours and the charger was still red and so I thought well I'm not leaving this thing on overnight I don't want to fire going on.
