Sitting and knitting on a rainy day in DC. Your podcast was a ray of sunshine. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new line Roots. Awesome bright colors! Looking forward to incorporating it into my next project. Peg, I think the beautiful item you were wearing could be considered a capelet.
Yes - capelet works! Happy knitting!
absolutely Love you guys and I've been having such a nice time catching up on your past Mill Casts and "Origin Story". I recently made my first Mussleburgh and did the crochet cast on from @KnittyNatty and as a new knitter, I'm always searching for those 'reminder videos' for special techniques. Hope to see you both in MD this year (my husband bought me an early pass already so I'm sure to make it! - fingers crossed!)...would love to come up to Vermont someday too! Keep doing what you're doing - it's GREAT! oxo
Thanks so much!
Your Millcast is always such a joy to listen to. Thanks for all the down-to-earth feel-good vibes! And I love the Roots collection!
❤️
Millapalozza 2025 is already sold out?
No - the tickets will not go on sale until Feb. 18th.😊
Peggy’s Ultramarine Blue rocks! I see a field of blue sheep and am now interested to test out a knitting machine. My hands do not go quick enough for the things I wish to knit.
😊
oops, ordered the sport surprise bag before I heard about the neons! Well, we will see what I get!
I just checked and yours has already shipped! There is a swap group in Ravelry if it is too bright...
About the window’s you can use a spray bottle with Dawn dish soap and water it works great. No streeks.I love watching y’all .I live in Louisiana. Hope to see you at a fiber festival soon.
Thanks for the tip! Hope to see you too!
Totally love Roots and the idea behind the base choice ❤
Thanks!
Love the Roots colors! Looking forward to visiting you Feb. 15 as part of a Galentine's weekend!
Woo-hoo! See you then!
You know you have arrived as a successful small business when you have a water cooler! 😆 So glad to see JFM thriving!
😊
Ty Peggy for a wonderful interview….she was awesome
Thanks so much for watching!
I literally feel your pain right now, I am dying from my back. I do acupuncture once a week and just had an injection on Friday. Both of which are life savers. I used to go to the Chiropractor but cannot have my neck done anymore so I just avoid it all together. I don't like pain pills so I stick with these other things. If you have not done injections yet you might give it a try. Good luck.
Thanks for the tips!
That BLUE!!! I’m knitting with a similar color now (different brand) and would totally love more yarn from JFM 💙 so intrigued about the knitting machine experience! Been thinking about getting one after seeing some TH-cam videos. So fun! 🤩
Thanks so much for watching!
You 2 are looking pretty snappy!
Aww- thanks!
Wow! You knocked the Roots colors out of the park ❤ I really enjoyed the interview with Amanda Brown too - Thank you for bringing some joy to my day…appreciate you!
😊 Thanks and we appreciate YOU!
Peggy, that electric blue is HOT!!! You must recreate, please❤
😊
Oh sorry to hear about Peggy’s back. And so so glad you are getting acupuncture. As a licensed acupuncturist myself I would have said to do it if you hadn‘t mentioned it. That Forest color on Roots base is beautiful! Amanda, if you read this, would you mind saying what brand are your overalls please. So stinking cute with your sweater. Absolutely loved the interview with Amanda Brown. She was fascinating. I knew someone who was gifted a used knitting machine, but without a manual or a class, it was hard for her to learn it well. Take care JFM people! 😊
Amanda's overalls were made by a friend 😊
Such a great episode! Now you can all gossip by the water cooler.
LOL! So true!
The Roots colors are soooooo gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
❤️
Thanks Peggy and Amanda. Great interview. Machine knitting is so interesting. I have never tried it though. I love how excited you got over the water cooler. Moving up in the world.
It's the little things!
Loved today’s show ladies! The Roots yarn is gorgeous. Amanda Brown was fantastic. How fortunate to have a private lesson with her. What machine are you working with Peggy? I have three that I haven’t used in years but have seen so much about mk'ing online that I’m inspired to haul one out.
😊 Peg has a Silver Reed Bulky knitting machine.
You guys are having too much fun 😂❤
We are having fun!
Your interview with Amanda Brown was incredible. How nice to know about this resource! There is still so much that I'd like to learn myself... but I have to share that I was so excited when I first discovered that I could knit an i-cord edge on the machine by alternating putting stitches on hold from side to side. SO much fun! ~ and thank you for the shout-out about the 2025 Green Mountain Shawl! I can't wait to cast on another with everyone. AND your yarn bundles look AMAZING!!! Those new Roots colors are gorgeous!
Thanks so much, Ona!
It should be called a HUG.
😊
I see more decisions on the horizon❣ Thanks for another great millcast!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love you two!
Right back at you!
I gasped when I saw Roots. Stunning! I’m also enthralled with the knitting machine section. What an amazing episode. Happy knitting 💚🧶🩷

So! All the wooly stuff is amazing. So interesting to meet this knitting machine wizard and also learn a bit more about Parsons. Roots is AMAZING and a wonderful addition to your portfolio. However, as usual I feel so HAPPY after watching you two. We all need a little or maybe a lot of positive right now and I feel this positive attitude is a huge part of your trademark. THANK YOU!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Amanda, Vaseline on rolled up newspaper works great when there is not enough kindling for the stove. Love the radiant heat from our stove!
Great tip!
I love coffee shops too and have collected coffee sleeves for years.
😊
Such a lovely update.
Always love watching. Just want to make a plug for seeing more of the spinning you do for farmers. Especially the breed-specific wool.
Thanks for the input! 👍 We appreciate it!
I agree coffee shops are the best and when you have the knitting with it like the cherry on top. So glad yout took a moment for yourself.
Thanks 😊
Nothing like a good coffee shop. Pretty hew color.
Thanks!
