Oh girls. The BEST episode!!!! You keep getting better. You make us who couldn’t come get a wonderful look at your wonderful festival!!! You are the BEST!!!
Want to add my voice to the wonderful sense of community that was present at the VT S&W festival. I'm a "consumer" and this was my first visit to this festival, and I enjoyed it SO much; made me so happy to have so many conversations with "strangers" -- who all share a love of fiber. Great to see you both, and to participate in Millapalooza. Thanks for all you do to build and support that community!
I ….say this…and I live 15 miles from Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool and went once and never returned ……I enjoyed Vt Sheep and Wool…such a nice atmosphere and relaxed….and I bought a sweater quantity of Farm Fresh in the dark brown black color with a contrast of the making tracks for Western Rose sweater…first thing Saturday ….nice selection of yarn all around
Jealous! I grew up in the Hudson Valley and have fond memories of going to Rhinebeck with my mom when it was a much smaller affair. I still love it and return every year that I can, but boy is it a lot.
I want to thank you both again for such a lovely weekend. I cannot wait to make my mom and me our special Millapalooza sweaters. The Vermont Sheep and Wool festival was magical and you two made it even better. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
My first VTsheepandwool and it was more than worth the five hour drive from New Jersey… I can’t wait to return next year! The stars really aligned with the weather. I got to meet you Amanda and see your finished Lindal sweater! Food lines were long but worth it: I had the stuffed acorn squash and then sheep’s milk gelato for dessert! Best part was all the new-to-me vendors… I went home with a sweater’s quantity from Green Mountain Spinnery and a hedgehog salt and pepper shaker from Brown Bunny Pottery. Bliss!
Thanks so much for the “tour” of Vermont Sheep and Wool! Couldn’t be there this year but definitely planning on going next year. Just hope and pray the weather in 2025 is just as perfect as it was this year!
What a fun time at Millapalooza! Tacos were yummy, Savage Heart Farm is gorgeous, sweet sheep faces all around! I indulged and bought a sweater amount of Ellie Mae yarn, gotta love a sweater with a such a loving story. Great seeing you ladies at both places!
Peg your cabled cardigan is drop dead gorgeous and the colour is delightful on you! I don't remember seeing it as an FO. Maybe we can have a full peek on the next Millcast??!! Wink wink nudge nudge.....
We had a great time at Millapalooza. What a beautiful night it was! VT sheep & wool was just the perfect size. and the weather was perfection! Will definitely be back.❤️
Thanks for sharing you guys had so much fun. I so appreciate how much time and love you both put into the mill and just taking us along on your woolly adventures. Maybe some suri down the line . Love your yarns. 😊 the sweaters turned out so lovely.
Great episode! I came to VT S&W last year for the first time (and made a fleeting cameo on the Millcast as I bought an absurd amount of Making Tracks 😂), so I was sad to miss it this year. By the by, I’m test-knitting that upcoming Thea Colman sweater out of the dark green Farm Fresh. I’ll bring it to Rhinebeck.
thank you for the tour and having us at your home Peggy! Always great to say hi to both of you. Have a fantastic time and hope you'll do the Millapalozza again next year. I feel like you both are famous people.
It was such a wonderful weekend and Millapalooza was so fun! I’m not sure how you had time to put this lovely video together too! You guys are amazing!
What an absolute thrill to be able to attend both Millapalooza and the VT Sheep & Wool Festival this year. It was such an incredible experience for everyone in Designer Alley and we can't wait to do it again next year. As designers, we'd love to hear your feedback! Any ideas for next year? Suggestions? Please reach out! ~ and thank you Peggy, Amanda, Leah, Emma, Liz, and all the staff and volunteers that make Junction Fiber Yarn possible!!!
WOW!!! all your hard work paid off so very well! So happy that your weekend was such a huge success in multiple ways! I just love listening to you chat, your enthusiasm is fantastic! ❤
Oh, my gosh! I told my husband, "This is one event/weekend I'm having a bit of FOMO about!" I knew you guys were going to have a fabulous weekend! Living in the Twin Cities, our fall colors are starting to peep out in the maples, but we are far from peak yet. Thanks for sharing the footage so that we could live a little vicariously from afar! Congrats on a successful VSWF!
Yay!! I’ve been wondering how things went! I’m so so so happy to hear it went so great!!! Yays!! ☺️I’d also like to add, your loving community includes some CROCHETERS, too! We ALL love y’all!!! (I’ll learn to knit, too; ngl) 🫶🏻🧶🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

I forgot to ask Amanda what shawl were you wearing. 😊
Sadly, it is a pattern never released!
Love the scarf you’re wearing at 17 minutes and didn’t see the pattern link, would you please share…and do you have the 2025 date for next year’s Vermont event?!
Sadly, it is a pattern that was never released -sorry!
Next year's VTS&W will be on Oct 4-5, 2025
@@junctionfibermill oh no! We want the pattern, we want the pattern, we want the pattern! Thanks for the follow up
Would you suggest the Vermont sheep and Wolf festival for a beginner knitter?
Absolutely!

Episode 18 of the Millcast tells the whole story of how we met and started the mill!
I have serious FOMO after watching this. Haha. It looked wonderful. Might have to do Millapalooza and VT Sheep and Wool instead of Rhinebeck next year

Fried cheese curds from Ellsworth, WI🥰
Love fried cheese…
Hi @Mandy, I looove your sweater. Unfortunately your excitement made it impossible for me to understand the name of the pattern and there’s no link to it. Could you please let me know name and designer? Thanks
It is Cinnamon and Bourbon by Thea Colman!
Here is to us shorter more concentrated folks
Peggy, what is that red cabled sweater you're wearing?
That is Thea Colman's Smoked Orange Cardigan!
Sadly I live in Seattle.
Maybe some day…
I just had to come back and say - Do what you love and you’ll never work a day! Thanks for those smiles. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
