Yes, we are back from our fun time in Santa Rosa and wine country!!!!! I'm so blessed to have such great and thoughtful kids!!! They pulled off the surprise and I had no clue!! The airbnb was great and included a pool, too. We took in a couple of wineries, drove up the coastline stopping a beach and continued to the Redwoods where we took a nice hike. Great restaurants, too. I'm so grateful to have Amanda as a daughter-in-law and daughter, Anna, and son Cody.....such a great family!! Love them all so much! Oh, and yes, I couldn't get enough of Maeve and Lewis!! Plenty of playing, hugs and kisses!!! Thanks for the your thoughtful comments. Love the Millcasts!!!!!

I’m sure Amanda had a great time in California and hope the family pulled off the surprise for Natalie. The new neon colors are beautiful and so are your Lindal sweaters. Wish I could be in Vermont for Millapalooza and Vermont Sheep and Wool. It sounds like so much fun!

Idea: I have made Musselburgh hat ( a double sided hat) with orange on one side and a cammo on other. What colors will make cammo side? This way one hat works for walking into woods to be seen and cammo side for hiding.
I love the brat sport weight! And I knitted various Musselburgh hats but in light weight yarn and full size(double). I WANT the tag label (although i have hunter orange handspun for a hat), maybe I'll grab a skein of your hunter orange....
Ok - Beginner - which yarn can I do a basic knit hat from - I have been on your site to buy and in fact got a surprise kit, so, they are sport - - how can I get a DK weight from what I have or should I buy DK?
You can knit with either weight - it depends on the pattern. The DK will be heavier and knit on bigger needles (bigger stitches) and the sport will be thinner on smaller needles. I would go onto Ravelry and find a hat pattern you like in the weight of yarn you have and go from there! ☺️ Liz
