I have tried 3 Galison puzzles. They all came in a square box, 500 pieces. The pieces were thick, small, and the top paper was peeling off on many of the pieces. Several of the pieces came damaged. The puzzle pieces felt like stacks of paper shopping bags glued together. What you are showing is not the same as the Galison pieces I experienced.

Don’t get the Cardinal brand. And I mean get it - so you can share how bad it is.

Buyer beware: in the same section at Dollar general there is “cardinal” brand - the worst. You should get one just to hate it.

Those images are in Ceaco’s regular collection as well. That is different as typically the images as well as the quality is different for dollar tree puzzles

Glad to hear that Ceaco's Red Barn brand is pretty good quality, especially for the price. I did a bit of searching for the Red Barn brand history but didn't find very much at all.

Hi, Mandy.🌻I almost bought one of these puzzles today, but then I was strong and resisted. I bought a lot of puzzles from Black Friday all the way to the end of December, and I pledged (with fingers crossed behind my back) that I wouldn't buy any more until I complete the ones I have. They're mostly large count puzzles-2K to 6K- so I may not be buying any for the rest of the year. We'll see...😬 Love and Peace from California. 🥰

Wow! I love the size for these as I don't have a large table. Most 300 pc these days have oversized pieces so they end up 18by24, I'd rather get a 1000 pc for that much real estate.

Nice your husband supports and takes interest in your hobby! Last year I picked up some clearance puzzles at DG for 1.75. Ill try again if I think of it. Glad you enjoyed the puzzles

Yes, that is a great surprise, and a nice way to begin a new year (HNY, btw). Unfortunately for me, the closest Dollar General is over 45 miles away. I haven’t had much luck finding bargain puzzles here (Goodwill, SA, Dollar Tree, Five Below, etc.), so I’m always a smidge jealous to see these (on the other hand, it’s probably a good thing, or I’d become an even-worse puzzle hoarder 😉). Oh, and judging from your watch, I gotta say cheers to another leftie (I was always told we’re the only ones in our right minds, haha).

I checked my Dollar General when you spoke about this earlier and found The Lion King and Toy Story 1000 pc, it was right before Christmas and they didn't have much on the shelves but I was able to grab those 2. Looking forward to trying them out. Thanks for that! Not to bad for dollar store pricing 😊

I have never seen a Dollar General here in Ontario.But sometimes at our local Dollarama they have for $5 Eeeboo,Galison or Mudpuppy.

It's so nice to get such good quality at a great price. But I think what I loved most was that awesome Mickey Mouse watch! I only got a glimpse, but it appeared to be an led screen, which looked amazing. When I was kid, there were plenty of Mickey watches, but not like that!

I think Ceaco was purchased by Buffalo. Wonder if Red Barn is now Buffalo
