it´s just bad. Sony give a s**t at us- after my yearly Abo - is running out iam back at the old otaku way and watch it without industry support- i it´s an quasi monopol and i cant go this way with cr if this behaviaor stays- it´s not just the comment section- manga-sektion was wiped too.

Yea I canceled my subscription like 4 days ago the app is basically dead if there’s no comment section and reviews that was one of the main reasons why I had a subscription, but now crunchy roll is the same as the pirate sites I be using except crunchyroll got less animes and u gotta pay for it💀

Yeah it’s stupid and when they do stupid stuff they win stupid prizes and that made me completely unsubscribe from their platform and I’ll go and pirate the videos instead because I loved the reviews and comments section

i had my account since 2006, back when users could upload their own content. man i missed watching fansubs of super sentai :) comments didnt mean anything but i did enjoy reading/adding my own take on a show. its really not that big of a deal, just the next natural step.

I really don't know about improving the user experience, I really enjoyed the comment sections and seeing peoples ideas and takes on the anime. Plus you'd get some spoilers from those that read the manga at times :)

I made a conscience effort to leave a review on a ton of anime that I've watched, and now all those reviews are gone. What a disgrace

They are trying to hide the negative comments that were real peoples opinions on how bad the recent waves of anime were and the call outs that the ai subs had terrible flaws. Flaws that a moderator could have easily edited and fixed. They just spat in our faces. How are we as a community going to respond after they essentially deleted us as a community…
