Best thing about arcane s2 is it unmasking the grifters that have been masquerading as insightful media analyst. When clear character arcs are seen as out of character moments and magic is seen as a problem in a show woth teleporters you know the jig is up.

Some of my favorite Movie Critics and all but one turn into hating fools About Arcane Season 2, EVERYTHING in Season 2 is a MASSIVE payoff from things established in Season 1, all character stay perfectly true to their game version ( which is VERY important for Riot) and things that were established in Season 1. Season 2 skips over as much stuff as was skipped over in Season 1. Season 1 was establishing the Characters and building them up, Season was about the greater Plot. JInx being less excentric is because Season 1 ended with her finally finding herself as being just Jinx, she stopped being torn and broken and fractured. So of course she is less "crazy" in Act 1 and 2... wow, you realyl ALL wore hater glasses watching Season 2, happy to defend my opinion on stream any time and explain why Season 2 is still amazing (less surprising then Season 1, since nobody expected it to be THAT good, but still amazing)

Really enjoyed @literaturedevil on the stream. Lot of knowledge and he sounds very relaxed. Hope he will come on more often. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I get the feeling that Cynic and Ploots aren't really in the mood lately to do the livestream. They seem distracted and kind of bored. Again not be rude or critical, but it is something I noticed. Very good news that Paul Chato will come on. Paul is awesome!❤

14:50 I think we remember some of these movies being less violent because many of of us first saw them on TV edited for TV. I remember when we first started to get streaming I would call and check with my dad and say hey dad I remember the original cannonball run as a fun movie. Is that OK for kids? Just because I had seen the edited for TV movie with the bloopers and the moment where the actual violence is in a movie bleed out.

If you want to define a 'plant' has a manufactured celebrity - they control casting, production, critical reviews, and SO many other organs of culture that they can make some famous. Think of when a major athlete retires, the sports media immediate tries to create a new 'star' to keep rating up, whether they are worthy or not. Disney especially plans decades into their artists careers. Look at the long list starting as kids....

The very ending of episode 6 when I didn’t feel a thing absolutely confirmed that this writing quality has nothing to do with the quality of the first season. I know that that was supposed to be an emotional scene, but I felt absolutely nothing. The animation here is also praised but I think that’s a huge stepback too. The action scenes are way too fast, flashy, and there are just too many over stylized music video switches. I am very sad about this show.

Do not forget, Star Wars went away after The Return of the Jedi, around 1984 - 1985. I was 10 in 1985, by then I was into Transformers. Yes, there was the two Ewok Movies but at the time, I did not know they had been made. Star Wars did not come back till 1991 -1993, with the release of The Heir to the Empire novel and then the Dark Empire Comic. There was no Star Wars for years.

Can she sing? I'm prepared to believe it. Can she act? probably. Who cares? An inapt analogy. You show up to a job interview wearing a t-shirt that says "I'm with stupid". The obvious explanations are 1) you don't care or 2) you don't think you have to care. There are literally 10000 other girls who might have similar aesthetics, who can sing, dance, act, mime, do their own stunt work, and play the banjo. Unless she's genuinely willing to sacrifice her career to speak her mind (and burn anyone unfortunate enough to be tied to her commercially), it seems delusional. A comparison I made was Lindsey Lohan. She messed up, so Emma Stone took the career that could have been hers. There are a lot of actors who had immense talent who burned it by being difficult (think Val Kilmer). If you're horrible to work with or could tank a film, then any subsequent project is complicated. If she's attached to something, then maybe top-tier actors refuse to work with her. If someone was perfect for a role but ran away screaming in the other direction, then that would be a cost she's attached to hiring her.

I am enjoying Arcane season 2. Thought episodes 4 to 6 were an improvement over the first three.

Second season has all the ambition and goodish plot but not enough talent to make it work I mean we need the kid to have 3 gems in the final so Vi just drops her gauntlets at the entrance

From the trailer, the Y2k film looks to be what I would describe as a "Low Comedy". Suffering through the 1st trailer was bad enough.

The Secret Wars movie is a possible chance for the MCU to wrap up their Multiverse Storyline for a while if they chose too. The Secret Wars 2015 Comic Cross Over Event was a Multiverse Storyline. There is a small chance MCU will be this wise but I doubt it.

My prediction is that Wicked will make a good amount of money. Grace Randolph is more representative that anyone wants to admit. The millenial female demographic is usually shockingly undiscerning with their media. Assuming of course that the movie isn't somehow actually good.

I echo most of what the panel had to say about Arcane S2, but I would like to point out the one scene that made me lose my shit and essentially give up on this entire season: Vi tailing Singed outside of Victor's settlement (I almost wrote 'Hippie rehabilitation center') only to be caught and jumped over by Caitlin. Not only is it a lame reunion for the show's power couple of sorts, but isn't Caitlin supposed to be the head of Pilltover, if in name only?? What would she be doing working as a mere sentinel on the outskirts of her plan?? This season feels so rushed as to make you think they didn't bother rewriting their first draft... It's such a shame that the writing would be so amateurish when the animation is still so gorgeous :(
