Okay I used to work in a comic shop stocking the shelves and pricing stuff. Absolutely sucked at it, but that's what I did. I've never even heard of Agatha before this show was announced, continued to hear nothing of the character between then and now, and this is the second or third time I've heard the name "Agatha Harkness" in total.
Hocus Pocus is a very successful brand for Disney with only two movies. Disney wants more similar brands to capture the same market, especially with Halloween coming up.

Go make your own channel if you are so easily offended by a highlight clip.
Micheal Cane made some amazing films, but also some really bad ones for the money / location. If anyone complained about watching one of the stinkers on TV, he would say "and you couldn't change the channel?". These actors take the gig, get paid & then promote the Final Cut. It's just corp PR, so don't blame them as they buy their next mansion with infinity pool. You would do the same.
