Story 1 The mother wanted the children and insisted on having them. If she wanted a life, she shouldn't have insisted on having children in the first place. She is obviously having some kind of crisis, but she can't just arbitarily plan to put her children up for adoption behind OP's back. OP is right to divorce his wife to protect his children. There are real-life examples of women who had break downs and murdered their children.

Story 1. I wouldnt go back to a family already sitting on a high horse thinking they are granting you a pardon and you should kneel and bow in appreciation. Looks like they need something. They ignored you for 5 years and you didnt miss them for 5 years. Even mum seems manipulative now. Her contact for 5 years feels more like an obligation to make herself feel that she is a good mother rather than actually caring. Story 2. I remember this story from eons ago. I remember OP cut them out entirely and ex GF triend to sue for money since she hadn't work in the 10 years and was a SAHM. OP proved that she didnt want to get a job and didnt actually keep house as they had a cleaner, gardener etc. OP also did alot for rasing daughter and ex GF just did the fun things. Court ruled in his favour as GF quit the jobs she did get after a few days because she didn't want to work. Ex GF and step daughter blasted him online but he didn't care as it didnt do anything to him. Wedding was really scaled back and marriage was tumultuous as step daughter had promised her husband that OP was going to give him a high paying management job. OP owned a company in original post. Not a big company but he still made good money. OP found this out later but didnt bother to keep up with them so there was no update after that. Real father bailed after wedding had to scale back, i think he was afraid they would ask him to chip in, so her uncle walked her down the ailse.😂😂 Story 3: wonder if eating her snacks was a power move for him. Trying to assert dominance in some way, hence he reacted so violently when it was locked away. Her showing she wouldnt let him made him feel like he isnt being respected as the "man of the house". Including his insistent that he paid for them when they both did. That patriarchal attitude of everything happens because I did it, everything that goes on is because I allowed, everything that we have is because I worked for it. The fact that he seems to be fine in everything esle I wonder if someone put him up to doing something to prove his manhood so he choose the smallest thing he could think of to use.
