ladies and gentlemen. we gather here today to witness someone new discover the pain that is Final Fantasy 10

the graphics on the original Playstation console when this game launched was next level at that time, also most have CRT Monitors at that time so the aspect ratio was basically 4:3 which is almost square, that's why you had that black bar on your game. I remember playing this game for a week nonstop and just mesmerized by it, the nostalgic feeling of playing the remake had been the best so far.

I am almost 47, I was like 24 or 25 when I first played it. For me this is the best game ever. I remember balling my eyes out and feeling embarrassed about it but the game, the story line and subplots were just so good. To this days I think that song Sutek da ni (Sorry I dont know how to spell it) is one of the most beautiful I have ever heard. Glad you finally got to play!

I hope she continues playing Pokémon, Shinx and Turtwig is a Nice Pokémon!

Seeing the diagonal movement in this game makes me realise how frustrating it is to do things like just to line up with a door to go through it in earlier pokemon games

It's pretty cool actually watching someone play pokemon for the first time! Hard to find on youtube I guess because pokemon has been around a lot longer than youtube

Every time i listen to the song "To Zanarkand", i'm reminded of this tragic story as if the song various melodies replays the entire story.. And it brings me to tears every time i hear it. I think this game is one of the greatest examples of how to write a story for a game, it really grips people emotionally and you become invested into the story and characters. It has everything from action cringe worthy moments, fun, love, friendships and a despicable villain you just wanna destroy into oblivion. It's a wonderfully beautiful, but tragic story and the ending get's me every time i watch it.

Still, to this day, tied for best game of my lifetime with Ff7. These 2 games were, and are, my all time best/favorites. I've played every main FF game to date and as a close 2nd 3rd and 4th are ff9, Ff8 and remake/rebirth. I'm a sucker for ff games I think lol. This game was absolutely the best best best story driven game of these series up to this point, graphically. Unfortunately og ff7 didn't have voice acting or graphical cuts genes so I have to rank ffx as the best story due to the upgrade in gfx from 7 to 10

I've gotten less than a second on the Chocobo game before.

I'm disappointed by the recent entries but the music is ALWAYS amazing.

A year late but....a funny thing about yu yevon boss fight. Cast zombie spell and toss an X-potion 1-shot kills it. Worked in the OG, dunno about the remastered.

there is a five ish year difference between FF7 and FFX also and more importantly one was on the original playstation and the other was on PS2 so the hardware was a fair amount better.

You can use the keyboard buttons for the QTEs, so long as they don't open menus in battle. I usually use asdf jkl; I think, or was it asdf hjkl I could feel the phase change wipe coming as soon as you main tanked lol This whole expansion still gets me, but nothing as much as Seto. I remember hitting the Several Cutscenes like "what now? I'm already crying" Imagine if you mixed up the memory crystals and put their souls back in the wrong bodies

I cried with you in Lake Makalania. That was my reaction like 20 years ago.

choosing turtwig as a starter is disaster no pokemon fan in right mind would choose a grass type for a starter unless they r too pro

First final fantasy i played. Bought it when it released as a kid and didn't know anything about the series but man I was in for it. Been a life long fan ever since.

Tidus, being a dream of the faith, pulled from another time, if I remember right. By end of game, or near it. The Faiths go, and are gone, the dream completed, Tidus goes as well. Some werid other thang. Still end game gets me every time.

It's crazy how this game has stood the test of time. It's still an absolute blast. And the story is a true tragedy, which is pretty rare. The ending is so bittersweet I can still taste it, 20 years later.
