as a newbie to the final fantasy world (who has only played FF7R and FF7 completely, working on FFX) i wasn't too sure if i was interested in playing this next installment, but after this trailer i am hooked. the combat looks amazing, the graphics look incredible, and the summons/eikons?!?!? SO COOL. what do you all think of this new trailer??

As a FFXIV player, you just have no idea how good CBU-III is. Yoshi-P (Producer), Soken (Music), Kazutoyo Maehiro (Lead Writer), Koji Fox (Localization Lead), these are names people outside of FFXIV may have never heard of, but they're all extremely talented. All they did was take a dying game and make it into the king of the MMO mountain, and now they had years and a huge budget to work with on this game.
As someone who has been an FF fan since the 90s (also have several FF tattoos), I'd guess if you like the games you've played so far you'll enjoy most of the FF library.
@@turntheheart4268 it would depend on what you're looking for. The gameplay between 7 and 7R is drastically different. Both represent either turned based or full action gameplay. 7R, XV and the upcoming XVI full be full action combat. XII has more of a tactical semi-auto approach where you can customize the tactics. Most of the other games are slight variations of the classic turned based system. VIII has a wierd leveling system and enemies scale with you unless you know how it works. Imo XIII has the worst story and combat. IX and X are my fav story wise. All the early FF games are classic turned based with a fairly minimal story with storytelling ramping up around IV.

Try 4-5-6-8 and 9 I guess. Final Fantasy such a great games. FF5 so underrated but story is good.

i’ve enjoyed them so much! i’m definitely planning on playing through 9 and 15! can’t wait to play the others too

Summons have been called different things throughout the franchise: summons, Espers, Eikons, primals
Eidolons, Gods, Guardian Force (GF)

@@oculustri3204 They're used sorta interchangeably. In Eorzea they're known as Primals, but the Garleans (and Allagans) refer to them as Eikons.
