James 1:22. Be doers of the Word, not just hearers!❤ What a precious example of Jesus is Michael to all of us! Anthony was 100% genuine. There will always be Pharisee types who will say,”But what if it doesn’t stick?” Guess what? That’s not our call. That’s God’s business between Anthony & God. Our responsibility is to do exactly what the pastor did. He was teaching his flock to be wise givers. Giving a $20 or a meal to someone on the corner is 1 thing. Bear w me here…In this situation, it was as if a group mentality was taking over. As humans, we all need to be a part of a solution!! Folks were already imagining Anthony becoming a Christian and telling this story of redemption far & wide! It’s what we do in our minds! Emotions! It’s not wrong! However, as life goes on & we’ve given & given, always expecting a positive outcome, we can become disillusioned. “I’ve given from my food $ to help with x,y,z too many times. We’ve not seen him/her in church but 3 X since then! Well, no more.” Pg2⬇️

      2) As a PK since age 5, having been a pastor’s wife for 31 yrs, we’ve been in numerous situations like Anthony’s. (Minus the cussing in church-that we’ve heard😅) There’s not a pastor who hasn’t! Our church tithes from the weekly offerings into a benevolence account. Also, on communion days, a benevolence offering is received. It’s specifically used for folks in our church who have tough times. It’s not there to be a source of monthly income for folks though! Then there r times when someone or even a family comes into our church. The giving doesn’t happen immediately, but falling in love w the family has already happened. So when they’re evicted, who comes to the rescue? Feeding, helping move the family, finding ways to fulfill needs of what’s lacking in the home, etc. has begun in earnest by whom? The church family!! Here comes baby #7! A shower is given. Oops. No one from the family can be in church a few months bc the baby is sick. Do u see a pattern? Do we stop caring? No! We r to be the hands of Jesus! Pg 3⬇️

I am one, tough thick skinned son of a gun. This was Christianity at it's finest. This man broke me down to the point of tears. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Him. So to you people who think you have some sort of relationship with God, you had better make sure that relationship comes through Jesus, or you have no relationship with God at all

The desperate young mother took that opportunity, like the woman with the issue of blood, to let that pastor know she too was probably facing homelessness. Too many times the leadership in these churches are the untouchables. Thankful to see there are some out there.

God's grace can restore those who have committed sexual sin. Sexual sin is not unforgivable if you repent. Dr. Tony Evans, a dedicated servant of the Lord, is human and therefore born to make mistakes. Perhaps he sinned and kept trying to repent but felt unworthy, much like I did. He might have felt that he let God down and decided to stay silent to prevent rumors and judgment. I've been in his shoes and understand what he is going through. His heart may have struggled to continue preaching even though God had forgiven him. He didn't elevate himself; the people did. Whatever he did, God knew it would happen and had already forgiven him because of the many souls he brought to the Lord. This man was my mentor in 1992 and led me to the Lord through his radio broadcasts. All the souls he has led to the Lord have given him favor and grace from God to make mistakes because he's not perfect. Dr. Tony Evan did the right thing by stepping down to cleanse himself and then he should step back up. The devil wants to discourage and lead astray all those he brought to God. First allegations against T.D. Jakes, Jamal Bryant, and now Tony Evans. Don’t you see the devil at work? Pray for him please and give him his time alone with God.

I know what that hug from a godly man feels like. It’s like hugging God. You can feel it. I felt so much peace and calm. When he hugged me he simply said everything is gonna be alright and I said I know. Up to that point I was a mess. I just gave my life to Jesus but up till then I could not sleep for a few months. I could not eat. Just thinking about eating made me feel sick but every now and then I forced myself to take a few bites of something. My life hasn’t been the same since. Im in love with God. I’m filled with his Holy Spirit and I can regularly feel his presence which is so comforting. I get a sense of awe and usually get emotional. I was addicted to drugs and struggling after a broken relationship. God is so good. I told Kurt I want to go to church. I barely knew him but he invited me to go to church maybe 6 months prior to that. I still thank Gid for him even though I haven’t seen him in maybe 15 years. I got born again in 1995. Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus. Peace.
