I've been watching Russell Brand over the last few years! He has clearly been 'searching' for truth. So it's no surprise to hear that he has become a Christian and is being baptised. And I am proper! delighted for him 🙂 I really am.......... I will now be praying for him that he follows Christ closley.
Could you point me to a video where he says that Jesus is his Lord and Saviour or at least says "I am a christian"? I think he is being honest with us in his journey but I haven't seen anything that shows he understands that he needs Christ's payment for his sins and to make him Lord. Not being facetious here, I genuinely want to see him saved.
You're wrong, at no point has he confessed Jesus as his personal saviour.

@@TheKrazyKajeevieShow I give him the benefit of the doubt here, taking him at face value. This is because I do not know what he has said or stated outside of one very short clip. I also do not know his heart before the Lord. God does. However, we shall know him by his fruits in due course. The New Age influence will stick for a while possibly, but the Lord will show him the way if he is in any way receiving truth. I also do not know 'who' might be teaching or discipling him!!!........ do you (out of interest)
@@vicjames the point you're missing as per John 5:24, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9, John 3:3 is at no point in this clip (or at his channel (which I've been subscribed to since it started) has he made claim of Jesus being his personal saviour from his sin. It's black and white and we know his heart because scripture tells us the tongue speaketh of it!
Don't twist stuff to play in the flowery meadows of peace love and mungbeans watered down Christianity.
Baptism is awesome. I was so excited when I got baptised but the most important part is believing in Jesus and what He has done. That He died for us, for our sins, took that punishment for us and paid that price for us, He rose from the grave and that he is now seated at the right hand of the Father and He is coming for His bride the church soon. If you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, then you shall be saved, then go and be baptised. God bless you x

I'm overjoyed that Russell Brand is getting baptised. I'm not that surprised. I've watched some of his TH-cam videos, over the years, and it's been obvious that he's changed and is searching for a deeper meaning to his life. I did worry that he might lead towards Buddism but, his love for Jesus won through. Congratulations Russell and thank you for letting us know Pastor.
Russell is not a Christian. He's a new ager accepting many gods for experience. I'll be astonished if he is. I've seen a lot of him. Like Kanye he has an addictive personality and jumps from one thing to another. Could be wrong but I believe he is creating a DIY god taking bits from every religion.

Judge not. As a new Christian here who came from the new age, you can not imagine our reasons for coming to Christ.
Baptism is a very important spiritual step. Jesus,said that if it's done in faith, we are baptized as if we have died with Him and raised again to life. He lives hallelujah 🙌🏾
Seeing the short clip, I note Russell still uses some New Age language in the way he speaks. But he's just started his journey in faith. I'm so happy. I pray the Lord will be with Russell and continue to transform him for God's glory. Amen.
Agreed. He was pretty vague and didn't say he is following Jesus though did mention leaving sins behind. But this is a short clip and we can pray that he has truly found Jesus.
He seems to me like these new agers who believe in the ascended masters, Jesus being one of many inspirations. There is zero sign in his video that he wants to accept Christ alone. He wants to experience what its like to be born again from a ritual.
I think it's nothing short of amazing when someone in Hollywood accepts Christ!
He hasnt actually confessed Jesus as Lord. He seems curious to what baptism will do for him and it appears he has very little knowledge about who Jesus is.

I am blown away by his humility and childlike faith. God came for him, and he has responded with such a God-pleasing faith. It is so refreshing!!
He has not confessed his sin or repented. I’ve not heard him acknowledge that he is a sinner saved by grace.
We hear claims like this often. I know that no one is too far gone, but let’s inspect the fruit of his life going forward.
Lisa, Russell has practiced Transcendental Meditation for years. When a person transcends in meditation, he is absorbed in the experience of *I Am*. This is true repentance! *Repent* means * to turn*. The awareness has turned inward to know( experience) I Am. It's only natural to formally announce that experience through baptism. Russell appears to have developed a state of God Consciousness.

This is how a Christian witnesses to unbelievers. If you admire and practice a number of religious teachings and beliefs, it is not Christianity.
Interesting, I haven’t heard him saying that he has repented and chosen to follow Christ. He was talking about it more as a functional task to perform to achieve something rather than it being a sign of his rebirth in Christ. I really hope Russell has truly found Jesus.❤❤

I have a similar story to you been through the 12 steps grateful for them. Then Jesus called to me an i was reborn as a Christian to be set truly free. I was a chronic relapser of alcohol, narcotics, sexual immorality and always held back on sins for fear of judgement but Jesus set me free and other Christians have helped because i can share anything with them, I always had that label theory attached to me i am an alcoholic, addict, bad person . I now understand i was been manipulated bullied by powers , principalities, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts wickedness in the heavenly places.

Amen! I was lucky enough to be baptized last November. It was one of the happiest experiences of my life knowing that it was official! Very happy for Russell or anyone else who makes this awesome decision! Jesus is not "a" light. He is "THE" light. Amen
Dear Russell, i am so impressed that you have truly opened your mind and humbled yourself to be born again of the spirit. I was like you totally secular but searching. I can tell you that getting baptised is just the beginning of your eternal life adventure in Jesus. BAPTISM IS a simple form of obedience to Gods word. Read his word, and preach the truth. Stay in Jesus abd ask him to fill you with the holy spirit and the gift of tongues to empower your life and prayer. Praise you God for the love you give to us if we only listen.
Does he actually think that it is baptism that washes away his sins? I'm sure that's what I heard him say.
Time will tell whether he has yet been born again, or whether he thinks baptism is another new age ritual that one goes through to achieve a new level of 'enlightenment'.

At our church, everyone gets baptized in t-shirts they say “Meet the New Me.”
Russell has always seemed to be "himself", and transparent. Not a façade. So happy to hear this. Now I will get to meet him in heaven!

Well, hopefully he has solid Christians around him who will tell him WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS! Let’s pray for him.
God promises to give us a new heart with new desires after His own when we get saved (regenerated). We then give through a lifetime of sanctification or becoming more like Christ. A true Christian needs to have an ongoing testimony of a changed life.
Unfortunately most Christians do not have a testimony….

Russel has practiced several religions religiously, he went through one after the other. His last religion was new age mixed in with Christianity. He admitted he respects and believes in all the religions, including Christianity, and believes God exists in all the religion (not true to Christianity). He admitted he reads the Bible and follows some of its teachings. So, I’m not sure if he is getting baptized because he feels like it because of his partial beliefs in Christianity or because he is now fully committing his life to follow Christ.

I’ve watched Brand talk about his ‘Christianity’ a lot and his use of New Age terminology should cause any genuine believer in Christ to be concerned about Brand’s actual understanding of the Christian faith and the identity of Jesus.

I am going to be the sceptic here. Though I do believe Russell's heart felt desire to be baptized, but quoting Buddah, and other 'spiritual' figures, even if the quotes have some truth in them, they leave me a bit weary of 'why' he's doing this. Let's face it, the world has become so evil that even 'new age gurus' like Brand, are taking notice. BUT, from my own journey to Christ, the one thing that stood out, after recognizing my need to be saved, was that Christ is God BUT also that Satan is real and has become the all consuming liar that many have started following him because of his deception. The bible says he will come as an Angel of light!
I will pray for Russell and hope that his journey to seek the truth has actually led him to trust the real Christ, who IS THE TRUTH, THE WAY AND THE LIFE! Remember, the Lord said, "many will come in many name" but they will be deceivers. Do not be deceived.

The knives are out already! Russell Brand - and by his own admission - has plenty of faults, just like the rest of us. Mr Brand has made a profound symbolic change in his life, and good for him. As a public figure, his decision to become baptised was certain to attract criticism, scorn and ridicule of every kind. It is therefore no surprise to me that numerous other commentators are already foaming at the mouth (even in the most measured and articulate manner) - now that Russell Brand has declared his devotion to Christ. Let's hope and pray that these mockers will eventually also find their way to the Truth.
