    Hello I just have a question hope its fine. I have been dealing with ic/bloating symptoms for a while. The pain is just alwas there like its Chronic. When doing stuff like Orienting, somatic tracking i feel like my nervous system is much more relax. And i was wondering if learning to relax the nervous system wouldn't that be enough, and the pain will go away with time? Is it really necessary to go back in time and try to experience bad memories. (i dont like that idea, and i dont know where to even start, and how to feel it). Thanks :)

    I love this. I had really bad pain for 6 years - misdiagnosed by 11 specialists. I was diagnosed with TMS by myself (Dr. Sarno's description of TMS sufferer's traits just blew me away - light bulb moment) and my diagnosis was confirmed by a TMS expert. Since knowing it is TMS, the pain has dropped - I can sleep again and work again. I'm suffering from bad fatique now the last months (not as bad as you had it Rebecca) but I could sleep all day - maybe sleep apnea, but maybe this is just the symptom imperative of TMS. Rebecca - Greetings from Lübeck!

      @greenleader413 Thanks for your heartwarming note! And congrats on your lightbulb moment and the improvement that's followed! The fact that the pain has dropped from understanding that you have TMS is indeed a piece of evidence for TMS. 😉Neuroplastic fatigue is a common symptom imperative and it's also resolvable, but it's a good idea to rule out sleep apnea or anything pathological. I saw your recovery videos and you said that one of your symptoms was brain fog. I was wondering was it 24/7? And how did it go away? I experience it 24/7 for 7 years and it stops me from fully believing that my condition is mind mody. Because it’s not triggered by anything, it’s just there all the time. I’ll appreciate your answer 🥰

    The one thing i’m confused about is this.. why are we finding viral particles in the brain on LC patients then? Also I have a lot of eye symptoms, wouldn’t that be explained by inflammation?

    • @rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach
      @rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @elikovaaa There's no conclusive studies that viral particles are causing Long Covid. If that was proven, it would be in every newsletter in the world! Sadly, unproven medical theories scare people more and fear is the fuel for chronic neuroplastic symptoms. But you can choose where to focus on approaches that make you feel safe and supported! Eye symptoms are very common neuroplastic symptoms, as long as you've ruled out pathological issues with an eye doctor. Our brain sends signals to create inflammatory cells when it feels threatened. That's why we want to turn down the danger signal! I walk people through the steps to do this in my Be Your Own Medicine Course and would love to support you! www.rebeccatolin.com/course

      @ well, I guess I’m just a bit confused because they injected mice with LC blood, and they got the same symptoms. Of course that still doesn’t disapprove this works. It’s just curios. But regardless it still shows in many nervous system related dysfunction is THE cause.

    Yes, I developed CFS/ME symptoms after having 19 major stresses, 4 of them traumas. No wonder my body and brain reacted! No-one ever asked what happened BEFORE the symptoms began. I'm so glad the new paradigm in medicine is doing just that, and helping people face repressed emotions and old trauma and grief. I loved somatic tracking videos for learning to befriend your symptoms and sensations. I began to improve my sleep when stopped fearing it, and learned to do meditation and aerobic exercise, both of which have similar brain effects to sleep. Even when I slept badly, doing a number of small meditations had me feeling just fine and accomplishing a lot. I also wonder how many people like you had sexual assault at night, so the crocodile brain stayed reactive as protection. I had a rape attempt, and though I fought him off, the brain could still be trying to keep me safe at night. I now fall asleep easily most of the time, but wake up quite often. When there's a lot of stress, I have insomnia in the middle of the night. Getting up and doing the 478 breath usually makes me sleepy and gets me back to sleep, but if it doesn't, I use various forms of meditation like Chi Gong, guided visualizations, and yoga nidra to make up for the sleep deficit. I love journaling, but will try Expressive Writing! I also tend to like doing a gratitude list at night, which does just as you said - shifts you to a loving, accepting state - but i have to be careful not to be too "perky positive" as you can be repressing emotion without realizing it. For me, dancing is my best medicine. I discover emotions I didn't know were there when I dance, and can express then release them in a creative way I love. Even though we're not supposed to do strong exercise at night, I find dance is fine. Thanks, Rebecca, for these informative and inspirational videos!

    Thank you I really enjoyed this, but an ad disrupted me noticing my breath at about 6 minutes in which was quite disruptive. I did a quick google search and there is a way to turn off mid-roll ad breaks for individual videos. I suggest that would be a good idea for this one or any of your videos that are somatic practices or meditations. This is the first video of yours that I have watched and I plan to check out more of them.

      @@rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach amazing! Thanks for the reply. I have had blood tests come back abnormal, but there doesn’t seem to be much that can really be done? Like high cholesterol, hyperthyroid but very mild, reactive EBV, high endothelial growth factor, low VEGF, eyes are fine, brain and neck MRI show it’s fine. Neck ultra sound, heart ultra sound all seem fine. Not confirmed with pots. Do others have these abnormal blood tests and still heal? The other area I’m just a bit confused about is how people heal from this even when there may be mitochondrial damage. Because isn’t PEM usually caused by then?

      @@elikovaaa I hear you! I had loads of "abnormal blood tests" including EBV, low hypothyroidism and high cholesterol. Thyroid hormones help some people. But in my case, thyroid hormones made me worse. Those lab findings are common among my students and clients. When doctors can't provide an adequate treatment, we find that this mind-body approach can be very effective for neuroplastic symptoms as you describe! We believe that PEM and other symptoms is caused by a hyper-vigilant brain and nervous system, not damage. You seem like a great fit for my course and it's still on sale until Dec 3rd. Last question: there’s many studies related to Covid causing immune system dysregulation, actual brain damage shown in FMRI’s, etc, etc and autoimmune issues, and lung issues showing that brain fog is from lack of oxygen. So if most people can’t get these things accurately measured with normal testing. And for example the spike protein may remain in us, how do we address viral persistence with this modality?

    This is an excellent interview that answered so many questions for me. I’ve been working on brain retraining but was stressing myself out trying to do “all the techniques” plus still seeing a natural doctor who does muscle testing who keeps telling me things are wrong with different organs but it changes week to week which I believe he’s picking up on where the brain is sending signals as opposed to something actually being wrong and then putting me on a ton of supplements. I’ve been seeing him for 5 months and I find myself feeling worse and worse because he keeps telling my brain something is wrong. I suspected this is what was happening but this video just confirmed it for me. I’ve been trying to be my typical perfectionist self with recovery and just stressing myself out more. It’s time to just find joy, self love & compassion and re-engage with my life instead of isolating. Thank you! ❤

    Thank you so much Rebecca ❤. i have been in Fight or Flight modus Non-stop for more than 1,5 years now with reflux pains, fear, fatigue, POTS, MCAS, Leaky gut and depression and my nervous system is only able to concentrating on surviving. I love how you talk and what you say takes the pressure out of me. When I did this practice, I started crying at the end; Is that a sign that the parasympathetic nervous system took over from the sympathetic system a little bit? It happens sometimes with other meditations as well. I realised through programs like yours (haven't attended a Brain Retraining programm yet but seen tons of videos like yours) that I concentrated 100% of my time on surviving. So my nerv system is stuck now. Excercises like this makes me come out of this jail of fear a little bit. I use to listen to your free Somatic meditation to fall asleep or just to calm down. I love the part where we shall concentrate on two points at the same time.

    I am curious on the epstein bar virus. Thats the only diagnosis i have gotten positive for reactivation. I have a book on it how to properly test for it and even though some practicioners think it means nothing and that we all have it, 2 of my others have said its definitely reactivated. My symptoms are a constant inflammed throat and cracking rining ears which is chronically there and then i get surges of flares from my throat to chest to all different symptoms. Sorry to list them here im just saying ebv is the only thing i have to go on aside from a positive ANA.

    • @rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach
      @rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach หลายเดือนก่อน

      @slee7991 I feel your pain! For me, chasing the reactivation EBV path actually flared up my CFS symptoms and never helped. Almost all adults carry EBV antibodies. Some people get "mono" and need to rest for a while when it's active. After that, it's a matter of finding regulation in your brain and nervous system so it can settle down and work optimally. I've had many students and clients recover through this mind-body healing, even through they'd been told they had EBV!

    What is extremely exciting about this is im taking a course from primal trust and Kathleen king had an interview with a gal named Lisa Warner. She has a youtube and book. Even though her beliefs are different than i she healed herself from cancer with a mind body approach. That to me signals that mind body has much more a role in serious disease than we know.. From watching her stuff she said she was holding on to resentment and worried about finances and wasnt being her authentic self. She meditated and told herself she was ok. Idk how long it took her but its encouraging

    Also what if you do have an active virus in your body. Epstein bar virus Post a year of chronic stress and after getting food poisoning and covid it all started. The only thing ive been able to find was reactivated ebv after going through the medical loop testing out everything

    • @rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach
      @rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach หลายเดือนก่อน

      @slee7991 I know it can be so frustrating but that's actually good news that all doctors could find is reactivated EBV. Doctors told me that EBV was causing my CFS symptoms, but their anti-viral treatments never helped. I recovered through mind-body healing! I've since learned that most adults carry antibodies to EBV, so it's common and not the cause of CFS or Long Covid. If you want more support, you might check out my blog or my course! www.rebeccatolin.com/blog www.rebeccatolin.com/course Also, Matt Sibert and I talk about EBV in this video! th-cam.com/video/t9dVpMM7Sx0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fZIkRTFe0RwgKiE1

(i.e. anger, sadness, resentment, fear, shame etc.) You want to write about the pent-up emotions that you wouldn't express to anyone! Then you can pause to reflect on any lessons from your emotional experience. I like to finish with a calming meditation.
