Nice to see the focus again! The bar looks too thin to be of any use. And I think it would be in the way of maintenance and service. Thank you, keep them coming. :)
Focus shells are quiet stiff as they are, I had one on my last mk1 Focus, more of a confidence booster and looks factor . Instructions was to raise wheels off the ground and install strut bar, adjust tightly then lower car to ground, those few mm could make a different to rigidity maybe.. You already have a rear strut brace and that makes the car more rigid. That is why you probably don't see much improvement after installing the front one. I have a mk1 wagon (Focus) and I wish there was a brace for the rear end for my car. But after changing all the springs and bushes, it feels that the chassis flexes and I wonder if installing a brace only in the front strut tower will make a difference....
I would think that if you stiffen the front up even more, the back may feel even more loose? I'm trying really hard to notice the stiffness difference with this bar but I'm not succeeding 😅
Would you be willing to try a rear lower brace? I’ve heard they make the biggest difference on the road 👍 hoping to get one for mine soon but havnt found anyone that’s done a review on the mk1 yet
Good idea. Question Ford focus zetec petrol 1.8 16v (it have and LPG fuel after market) when engine is hot after drive it kranks but wont start. When take a rest 10 mins or 15 mins after 2 kranks start. What is the problem?
