Horror is one of the most creative, innovative and exciting genres of filmmaking. You're doing yourself a disservice if you dismiss horror films entirely - and I'm here to help you overcome that fear!
As someone who could NOT handle even the most tame horror for the first 2 decades of my life, and now watches them willingly on a regular basis - I'm here to tell you it is possible to overcome your fear of horror!
I wanted to share a few quick anecdotes of my own relationship with horror, then sharing a progressively scarier list of movies to help you grow accustomed to the genre.

Don't believe the haters. Masters of the Universe: Revelation was good!
มุมมอง 86211 หลายเดือนก่อน
Upon it's release, Masters of the Universe: Revelation was inundated by a hate mob, who disliked the direction the revival took the series. While I agree that they fumbled the marketing for the show, and some plot points felt a little forced - my overall impressions of the show were extremely positive! The "sequel series", Masters of the Universe: Revolution is right around the corner! I wanted...
Cult classic Canadian survival horror (Cube Trilogy commentary & review)

Fancasting The Authority for Gunn's DC Universe
มุมมอง 3.5Kปีที่แล้ว
Follow me on Twitter ► graeme_games I don't know the Authority well. But I don't think many casual comic book fans would! Certainly not the general movie going audience. I read up on a short run of the comic series, and did my best to fancast The Authority based on my perception of them and how that could fit in James Gunn's DCU. The Flash is overhated, but still pretty rough... // The Flash (2023) movie review
มุมมอง 2.8Kปีที่แล้ว
The Flash was a historic disaster of a production, and stands to be one of WB's all-time biggest losses. This film was shouldered with rebooting a franchise, while also paying homage to everything that is being left behind. Mix the audience's loss of interest in franchise blockbusters, comic book movies, the DCEU, and Ezra Miller - and it really felt doomed to fail. And I kinda liked it! Let's ...

The trajectory of Video Game Adaptations is changing
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
With the announcement of TV adaptations of both Cuphead, and Knight and Bikes, I took notice of an emerging trend in Hollywood, of adapting every video game possible! Looking deeper into that, I think we can expect to see more AAA video game movie adaptations than every before in the coming years. Simultaneous to that, we are seeing loads of TV adaptations of these games! But, the most interest...

I really can't with the religious reactions that actually create the only source of harm with people turning to conspiracies and destroying their minds forreal. The fact they all bring up Disney too is just crazy because they know it's not true but want to make it look worse and if they were oblivious it shows how little they care to understand what they're even looking at
This was meant to fix errors, 7 mins in and got the lore wrong. 😢
If anyone touches Ranger’s Apprentice, I really hope it’s Peter Jackson.
You can title the movie to “White People Problems” No you can title it to “Rich People Problems” What you think all white people are rich?? 🤣🤣
How can you not have Jensen ankles that’s just blasphemy
I hate fan casting that are different just to be different, actually pick someone who could do it, not just to be different
@@brodywalker216 They were all picked for a combination of their acting ability and physical characteristics. The only pick I no longer stand behind is Batman. I'm still pleased with the others.
Ok but you casted Wally, not Barry
Yeah because Wally west is the flash
@TheblackguyTamakloe he said he was casting Barry Allen while clearly thinking of Wally
Yup! That was my bad. My introduction to the Flash was Wally West in Justice League Unlimited. I haven't seen that show in almost 20 years. Genuinely forgot it wasn't Barry!
Legend, Highlander, Labrynth and Princess Bride were all box office flops? That's crazy to me
We criticize season 4 because we love the show. Even season 4. I love Star Trek and i love making fun of the unintentionally silly episodes. If i hate a show i ignore that show.
Gosh damn, so many references. video is excellent .
LOTR is a Movie DIVINE... it is a Movie that has Spirit and SOUL. Another movie of the recent times is DUNE 1 and 2. So, so far these movies are my best (and the Best Movie ever made from Hollywood with SOUL and Alive...) LOTR, MATRIX and DUNE.
My love for Middle Earth began in 1973 when I found The Hobbit in a desk at school and started reading it instead of listening to the geometry teacher lol I’ve read all of the books numerous times. At least 15. The movies were a delight that I loved and still love very much, but the first time I tried to read them after the movies, I couldn’t. The characters now have actual faces, not just from my imagination. I had to set them aside for a couple of years before the actors’ faces were no longer disruptive to my enjoyment of reading the books. Even so, I struggle these days to get through the books 😞 (other than The Hobbit which I still read every year) but that’s mostly due to my damaged attention span. Thank you, reels and shorts. In 2025 I’m determined to read through the entire LOTR trilogy and then some more books!
You stated that you weren't aware of any other movies like these. The whole Rube Goldbergesque death sequence thing was first done in The Omen Trilogy in the 1970's. The Final Destination films replace Damien, the AntiChrist, with a more nebulous " Hand of Fate" catalyst, but they were definitely inspired by The Omen trilogy.
I thought America was a country for all religions. If you don’t like it based on your beliefs..there’s probably others who like it..
Butt gusting laughs are the best
My guy called it
Watching the season now, I think I like it a lot more than I did when it was new. Most of the episodes I think work, with as usual the worst episodes being the weird "gimmick" episodes you'll find in most seasons. My least favorite season is still Season 6, the only one where I would describe less than half of the episodes as being "good". Really feels like that season exists more out of obligation to hit the 6 season mark rather than passion for making more of the show.
Wow you’re gay, skip!
Alright, I guess I'll go watch the whole trilogy for the millionth time again.
James Gunn's Superman: Legacy Not good it’s a very bad at 2025 disaster

2:26:31 I don't think that Steve knows about the Winter Soldier killing Tony's parents. We aren't told when he found that out. He might have known it was a hydra assassination from the get go based on "I didn't know it was him" being his first answer. Steve clearly never actually saw the footage until Civil War, so he probably just figured it out between Winter Soldier and Civil War. Secondly it has never been shown that someone can be "almost worthy" of mjolnir. Thirdly he stops trying the second it budges. If he just couldn't lift it he gave up WAY too soon.
2:08:03 No he was a soldier in the army. While they aren't as emotionally unstable as the marines (my dad is one) they have plenty of colorfull language. Cap not swearing is a specific character choice for him specifically, not for soldiers during the 1940s.
Ultron was never my problem with the movie. It was that the movie is never allowed to take him seriously for more than a minute without downplaying him with someone else saying something stupid.
1:21:40 You seem to forget that all of the MCU gods were not portrayed as unkillable up to this point. Like, not all of the frost giants are gods, but one of them could absolitely kill Thor is he was caught off guard. Honestly they only had basic superhuman durabilty for most of the MCU so the necrosword's existence felt kinda unnecissary. But with Love and Thunder it seems like they are supposed to be really hard to kill but to varying levels depending on how old or powerful they are. So as far as gods go, Thor is relatively new and not as OP as Zeus or Odin. But after Odin dies he (presumably) gets the Odin force and is much stronger.
1:12:37 Yeah but he almost lost and got half of the city blown up.
31:12 that’s definitely his best haircut season 1 is the worst. Peacock cut
Donkey says "I like that boulder, that's a nice boulder". It could be a reference to another book by William Steig where a Donkey accidently wishes to become a boulder.
To get the parody, Gap Queen, they're probably referring to a section of most Gap stores called Gap Kids.
I like Sterling K Brown as Martian Manhunter but I have a suggestion that's better....Chiwetel Ejiofor. And if they use just a voice over they could use Lawrence Fishburne who did a great job as the voice of the Silver Surfer in the FF movie from 2007. Oh and they need to cast Sydney Sweeney as Black Canary just because of the costume.
Season 6 was the most different. Now that the basic audience is filtered out and what's left of the people who watch it as their background noise comfort show, people just want more of the same. Season 4 attempted that. The first two times I watched the show all the way through, I found myself bored and frustrated after season 3. After I started skipping season 4, I found that seasons five and six are both still great. Season 4 was tainting the whole second half of the series. Don't say that on Reddit though, those dorks will come for you. And 30:26 - The guy who made this definitely knows Dan Harmon.
Imagine 'this' Trilogy being filmed in IMAX. Like Nolan did in his Trilogy.
4:32 I hated the scene where the bird popped as a kid so my dad would do the same thing, rewind it back in slow motion to traumatize me 😂
Considering the way mainstream movies make straight white men the bad guys and dumb or jerks, a family man demon is fine.
When the huge gingerbread man (mongo) is walking with them on his shoulder and he gets distracted. That’s referencing honey I blue up the kid. Xxx
This is a insanely underrated video, and channel
Thank-you for lavishing me with your attention. I provided the stories for LOR123 and insisted upon completing principal photography for all three films. The reason this was greenlit was me. I'd started with Star Wars, then Close, E.T. (my name's on Elliot's doodles in the film, top left), The Matrix, BTTF, Braveheart, Iron Man, Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report, Forrest Gump, Pirates of the Caribbean, so they took it seriously, especially since I'd already made them money rich. I told them that it was God's reward, given especially to them. Of course, then I stunned them with flops (sky captain, Mars attacks, John Carter), but I'd given them the cloak jewelry for the film. I didn't do Dune or Potter. Worked on WWZ, Hunger Games & Avatar1 only and Gladiator1 only. I had nothing to do with production (other than the jewelry) or soundtrack.
I was there, 2000 years ago in theaters
funny thing is that I realized the drop in quality of season 4 on my first watch, and thought it was definetly the worst, however on my re watch where I sort of binged it I liked season 4 more than 5 and 6. Maybe it is because I knew it was one of the last seasons before the cast broke apart
You missed one 8:29 Shrek does the thing with his ear like Hulk Hogan does
11:11 we say red Ridinghood, in the opening montage of Shrek, two
11:02 give me a stress
no, it is good, for sitcom standard it is bad, for Community standard if i have to pick the best episode, it is the Inspector Spacetime and the final episode of S4 and you talking about the drama behind it?every season of Community suffers from it because `you` viewers didnt get it at first you netflix watching just follow the cult train
Nah but the way my family and I HATED the stop motion episode because it was so boring and unfunny yet the puppets episode was okay enough and charming and nobody in my family complained... With the stop motion episode most of my family members legit left and others spent the episode looking at their phone and groaning. The puppet episode at least kept us engaged
The lightning scene from fairy god mother is from Star wars
I had a lot of experiences with horror. From nightmares, flash games, urban legends of our village and of course kids describing to each other what they heard horror movies were about since our parent didn't allow us to see them. At the end i got too curious and secretly watched the american remake of The Ring. I loved how it built its atmosphere and the psychological aspects of its horror. The whole movie has you feeling despair knowing that those people probably can't avoid their fate, but they have to try.
Most of them are white, but even the non-white privileged people sucked - like Paula - which was probably the most carelessly evil character in the show.
The giant mechanical spider was a reference to the movie Wild Wild West and was definitely not intended to be a setup for anything 😂
