This retrospective is one of my favorite series of yours. I hope that this channel continues to grow and that it gets the attention it deserves. It's so obvious that you have a deep amount of care and passion for both these videos and the films that you talk about. (: On another note, I'm not too familiar with Sam Rockwell's other works but I love his role in Iron Man 2 so I definitely wanna take you up on your recommendations there. You also helped shine a light on Iron Man 3, a movie which I wasn't sure how I felt when I watched for the first time two or so years back. I knew it definitely stood out from the other two, but couldn't quite articulate why. I've grown to love that movie more and more over time so I appreciate the spotlight it got here. I'll have to check out the recommendation you made there too! Definitely can't wait for more of this series.

Another fantastic video. One tiny correction, Armor Wars has been switched from being a show to being a movie. I'm not sure if that changes your excitement level. While it will have less time to tell its story, maybe it can be given a bigger budget and more importance in the MCU since it's now going to be an event film in theaters.
Ah yes, I forgot to fix that bit! I'm not sure where that places my excitement? Basically the only thing that will make me excited for it is Sam Rockwell returning haha
The MCU were the first movies I saw in theaters and one of the only movies my Evangelical parents were ever okay with us all seeing, so they are near and dear to my heart. I’m excited to see more from you.

Yep,much love has to be shown to the original Iron Man- but I'd have given it something like 8.5...it would have got a 9 but for the manic behaviour of Bridges at the end My fav Marvel movie is InfinityWar (9.5)
Came here (not surprisingly) from the LotR video, but man the algorithm is doing you dirty. Your stuff is great super excited to binge this stuff. Also, never realized it but the "proper" pronunciation of iron (eye-urn) makes no goddamn sense given how it's spelled.
Tony wanted Rhodey to take his suit. If the government was gonna try taking it anyway, he wanted someone he trusted to pilot it. He also knew he was dying and wanted Rhodes to become the next Iron Man. He essentially orchestrated the penthouse fight.
Ironman 2 was heavily tampered with by the Corporates knowing they had a new cash cow. They had shortened development time and had to toss in these heavy Avengers hints.
Hm. Doesn't ring a bell ;) Honestly, these videos underperforming on the 2LT channel is one of the main motivators for starting this one! I know this went from like 8000 views to a couple hundred. But I think I stand a better chance of building a film oriented audience here!
While I do like the idea of the “twist villain” in Iron Man 3, I do consider it a massive waste of Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin. From what I’ve heard, the character is pretty huge in the comics, and is one of Iron Man’s big villains. The buildup to him was pretty cool in the movie. But I feel it kinda dropped the ball in my opinion, just feels a bit too kooky to me. Not to mention Guy Pearce DOES NOT play a threatening villain, or a memorable one either. And I like Pearce as an actor. But I gotta admit the way they handled The Mandarin in Shang-Chi was great and Ben Kingsley’s character won me over in the end.
In theory Tony's suitcase armor would have the same weight as the full suit of armor itself, so i always thought it was funny Happy could just toss it to Tony. Lol

How in the world are u so underrated? This video essay was amazing and retroactively makes me enjoy Iron Man 1 more than I already did.
