If you plan on doing an Insane difficulty playthrough you can't use straight stackers only the bent ones. So once you're far enough it'll be worth reworking your stacker blueprints since bent stackers are faster too
your pain is entertaining 🙂
It's worth mentioning, that it actually takes 12 sets of fluid extractors to fully saturate a space pipe. So you can do a lot of painting at the end of the pipe.

Me thinking before clicking "I wonder if by part 6 he understood how platform difficulty works", lol, nope
The reason the platform points seem infinite is because you misunderstood the setting you changed at the beginning. It doesn't change platform points costs, it changes platform points rewards. Basically, you set your game to give you 10x the normal amount of platform points. You started with over 4k, normally you start with around 450.
Half-destroying two quarter circles, just to stack back with quarter circles in a slightly different configuration.
I believe the red and green star part of your milestone factory is going to have very limited throughput. Because you made the two parts of the shape by swapper (which blocks all output if one of the two outputs is blocked) and due to the unequal belt lengths between painting and re-stacking, you will have the belt fill up with green parts, blocking production of red parts. The entire process of swapping to make the two separate parts will then block and wait for the handful of red parts to make it over the the stacking array. When they do, you will get a small amount of movement on the green belt which will allow a bit more red to be made before the first swapper blocks again because the green belt is full.
there are some shapes that are impossible to make from quarters CrCrCr--:CgCg--Cg:Cb--CbCb:--CwCwCw for example
Any Hex shape also impossible with quarters :D

Hi there. Great Shapez2-Series! Love your sense for symmetry and condensed builds. Maybe I'm wrong, but if each Fluid-Launcher can handle 1800 ltr/min, that's 7200 ltr/min with 4 Fluid-Launchers. This means that a space pipe with one fluid extractor is already fully utilized.
Interesting that you’re limited by blueprint points but you gave yourself pretty much infinite space platforms. I’m playing challenge mode (not 1000% custom) so I’m fine on BP but need to budget for SP spend. Been enjoying your videos, thanks!

I'm still a little confused about getting say a circle that is four different colors. Is that possible with this new compact set up?
Yes, since we have 12 input belts of circles 3 belts of circles will be taken for top left - painted - turned into 12 belts of quarter circles 3 belts of circles will be taken for top right - painted - turned into 12 belts of quarter circles 3 belts of circles will be taken for bottom left - painted - turned into 12 belts of quarter circles 3 belts of circles will be taken for bottom right- painted - turned into 12 belts of quarter circles Consuming 12 input belts and outputting 48 belts of quarter circles in 4 different colors, stacking back together into 12 belts full circle with 4 different colors Don't worry it confused me for like 6 episodes too...
A bypass on the splitter might have been nice. No need to split and then re-stack in the case of needing a full shape.

Why are you so against launchers? As far as I can tell, only fluid launchers limits throughput, but not even speed
I dunno, just don't like the look I guess... I prefer a long straight belt. But launchers are more efficient in every way. Use launchers!

I definitely want to try out 1000% challenge at some point. I will have to desing one or 2 layer blueprints beforehand haha. But right now I am trying to redesign my MaM. I made one after watching your previous series and trying to do it my way instead of copying directly what you were doing cause I learn by doing and learned a lot. New MaM is already 50% smaller and less prone to jamming and way cleaner wiring. At least the shape selection and painting array. Still working on the rest.
The 1000% Platform is affecting the Generation Multiplier of what you get from tasks, milestones, and operator levels. You can edit the save to set it to 10% to have the desired effect of 10x difficulty

I keep noticing you always end up needing to reroute your stackers so why not modify it like this: ⬛⬇️ ➡️⬜⬜➡️ You can also flip it when necessary. The con is you can't switch if ➡️ input is top or bottom

Those have more free space since they only need to go straight you could have also tried using a swapper to make them switch lanes the modules would look like this: ⬜🔃🟥 ⬜🟫✂️🔃✂️ ⬜🟫✂️🔃🟥 ⬜🔃🟥 Or you can just cut, rotate then swap.: 🟫🔃✂️ 🟫🔃🟥 Both of these also work for making diagonals!

Its interesting how different we play games because we are recording to how we play games when not recording. @@chrisieschilledgaming I've started the hex mode a bit ago, before he started the MAM series, I haven't gotten to the point to make a MAM yet, but would definitely be different in how that would all be set up and looking forward to seeing what others come up with as well.
During your MAM series you had trouble with a null checker. As I built my mam I realized an XOR is the simplest null gate. A null final into one pole produces a false, a shape produces true

shapes are infinite so increasing the number of shapes doesn't change anything, I could make a factory that produces 1shape/min and it will still finish 1000% difficulty (after much time) what they should do is make the target shapes per min instead of shapes (sure there are still ways to cheese it, but it forces a better factory by default)

Yes I agree. They should do a timer based difficulty mode to test your efficiency. The 1000% isn't "hard" it just takes longer

Love the episodes. Would love to see you do the Hexagon mode on normal. It adds in a whole new layer of difficulty by adding in more parts to each shape.

You could have saved a lot of blueprint points doing the milestone shape by just using swappers and rotators to combine both red and blue shapes right away instead of arranging them both on their own and having to use a stacker array. Alot less of copy pasting required. And I prefer using swappers a lot more than stackers for recombining corners of shapes.
Handy hint: an unconnected wire is a null signal. There is no need for a signal generator set to null, just leave the input to the logic gate unconnected, and it is null by default. That can save space in logic circuits.

Would it not be more time and space efficient to have RGB Inputs and have them all mix all the time and just have the outputs on a single out put? RGB IN/RGBCMYW OUT and just is colour = open gate for colour?

When you want to decommission a factory, you can select a part of it, (it can be just a single belt). After selecting it, you can press 'o', to select everything connected to that belt. and it just cascades to everything that is a part of that build.
