▬ About the Aillio Bullet Roaster ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The Aillio Bullet roasters are state-of-the-art, powerful yet compact coffee roasters with a capacity of 1kg or 1.2kg.
Unlike traditional electric roasters, the Bullet roasters use induction to directly heat the drum. This induction heating allows for rapid and precise adjustments in heating power, as well as efficient heat transfer for fast and energy-efficient roasting.
Another unique feature is the infrared sensor that allows the Aillio Bullets to measure the bean temperature without contact. This quick and precise measurement supports the development and execution of highly accurate roast profiles.
With the Bullet, you can easily and finely adjust the heat transfer, airflow, and drum speed.
The roaster is compatible with both Artisan and Aillio’s own user-friendly software, RoasTime, which allows for easy sharing of roast profiles with other users.

    What about the smoke the roasting produces. Is there an exhaust outlet

    • @CoffeeRoasting
      @CoffeeRoasting 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Coffee roasting produces smoke. It's relative to the amount of beans you roast as well as the roasting degree. Each manufacturer have solved it a bit differently so if you need help, you might ask for a specific machine (although I usually talk about it also in the detailed video of the machines.

    Can you cut yourself filter materials (example: kitchen filter or any paperfilter as the materials used in vehicles or vacuum cleaners / air cleaners) and fit them into the original hottop trays?

      I wouldn't as the airflow should not be blocked.

    Early on, I "lost" several roasts that took a while to get all the way into first crack; even using the + button I couldn't get the timer to extend long enough to finish out first crack. It was incredibly frustrating! Only after I found the manual mode information and what "C" does, was I able to get reliable full roasts. I've roasted the way Mr. Behm advises here for years now and found he's absolutely spot on with this advice. Now with an additional 1600+, I've launched a successful coffee roasting startup and have been able to share delicious coffee with more people and make enough to reinvest in neat experimental extras, like barrel aging!

      Thanks a lot for your feedback. Interesting to hear. If you want to share some of your successful profiles that would be valuable for the community

    So it looked like when you added the beans, "charge" was marked automatically. I'm finding that sometimes happens, but not always. Also, when you finished the roast and ejected the beans you simultaneously marked "drop". But can't that be done automatically? It seemed at first this was happening with my Hot Top setup at first, but not now. Doesn't Hot Top report a drop signal to Artisan? I prefer nearly all beans to be roasted at least a few seconds into second crack (unlike what you are doing) and would like to accurately record the time into SC. It's hard to do when you have to manually click on "drop" after ejecting.

      The roaster doesn't send a signal, Artisan is detecting if there are unusual drops in the temperature. If you want to be in the safe side, you better mark the events manually

    I am glad you have good results from the oven roaster. For me, my FreshRoast SR800 kicks ass one half pound at a time.

    I think that compare point is 'prepared profile'and 'construct yourself'. Already used link 1 week, and I nought nano7e and pelicase. In my opinion, the reult of thease two machine, same. Different of price is prepared profiles. So gorgeous casual roasters. And most attractive thing is Second derivative graph. I have ROEST roaster too, But roest web app does not show 2dn derivative graph. Anyway thanks for your video footaeges.

      Thanks a lot for your feedback. You are totally right. The two machines are the same in hardware and you have the possibility to do the exactly same with both machines. The big difference is, that the LINK comes with meanwhile more than 700 roasting profiles. Therefore you will have a perfect roast without having to understand roasting. On the other hand, it's so granular, that those taste differences are only to be tasted by people with high sensory skills. The machine is being used successfully for competitons where those small differences matter. In my experience, the profiles you get for the Kaffelogic Nano by the Kaffelogic team as well as by the community are already on a superb level that is higher than for any other roaster out there.

    Sounds like same hardware , different software, which is more important.

      You are right, it's the same hardware and you can do the same with both machines. The big difference is, that the LINK comes with more than 700 roasting profiles that will allow you to roast competition grade coffee withough having to understand roasting at all. The Nano comes with 12 profiles but in the community you can already also find a lot of additional profiles. So for most of the people and even more so if you like to get an understanding on roasting profiles, the Nano is good enough. But the Link just takes a lot of work from your shoulders if you don't want to invest time in finding a perfect roasting profile.

    How do you vent a behmor for indoor roasting?

    • @CoffeeRoasting
      @CoffeeRoasting 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You should place it under a vent like e.g. a kitchen vent.

    Hello I just got my Hottop KN-8828B-2K+ roaster. When I connect it to my laptop via the supplied USB cable it says disconnected. What can I do to connect them ?

    • @CoffeeRoasting
      @CoffeeRoasting 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The most common issues are: - not the right USB port chosen - you will find a video on that in our challen - not the most actual Artisan version (some were buggy but quickly fixed) - the USB cable is not good. Try another one - as Mac user, the connector between notebook and USB is somehow not working on this machine. Try another one - you have electrical interference. In most cases machines like vents that were plaeced close to the machine were causing electrical interference and disturbed the connection Please let me know, if any of those helped.

      Ok so I found that I have to install a usb driver which was not explained in the manual that came with the machine .. it’s something you have to dig deeply to discover

    This is amazingly helpful and Im shocked more people havent watched this! Fantastic flow of questions and concise, clear answers with just the right amount of analogies to paint a perfect picture. If i imagine myself teaching this one day, I may lean more on my baking background as I think coffee roasting lingo is... pretentious. Neither of these people are so phew. Learning was had. Bravo.

    Thank you for the video and the recipe. How would you adjust this recipe to stop the roast at a "City Roast" or "City Roast +" level? I am roasting a single origin robusta from India.

      When I roast lighter, I usually go a bit lower in heat around FC and when I go darker, I usually go a bit higher in heat around FC. But not too much in order to still avoid baking or burning the beans.
