▬ About the Tonino colorimeter ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Tonino is a small, light, easy to use and inexpensive colour measuring device for coffee roasters. It was developed in Germany by the same team that develops the Artisan software. Thanks to the device you have a high degree of control over the roast degree and therefore especially over the consistency of your roasts.
▬ About Lighttells CM-100+ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
When roasting coffee, precision and consistency are very important. With the Lighttells CM-100+ Roast Degree Analyzer, you can objectively measure the roast level of your coffee thanks to the latest infrared technology and get a deep insight into your roast. You can analyse the roasting degree of whole beans as well as ground coffee easily and precisely. This way you can ensure the quality and consistency of your roasts and easily exchange information about roasts with other people. The analyzer provides you with the degree of roast defined according to the SCAA Gourmet scale and SCAA name or assigns it to a roast category (e.g. Light, City, Italian, etc) directly on the display. Up to 200 results can be stored in the meter's internal memory.
The Lighttells CM-100+ Roast Degree Analyzer is suitable for professional roasters, coffee buyers and ambitious home roasters.
▬ About Lighttells CM-200 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The Lighttells CM-200 Roast Analyser is a versatile tool for the accurate examination of coffee roasts. It offers the possibility to measure the degree of roasting in Agtron according to the SCAA Gourmet scale and to classify it into roasting categories. In addition, it allows the evaluation of the uniformity of the roast and the colour distribution of the roast.
The device also offers analysis of the particle size distribution of the coffee grind, which is crucial for baristas and roasters to optimise the extraction and taste of the coffee. The CM-200 is user-friendly to operate, and measurement results can be stored both within the device and externally to provide comprehensive control over the roasting process.
The Lighttells MD-200 colourimeter is suitable for professional roasters, people in coffee purchasing and quality assurance, baristas and ambitious home roasters.

Super Ingo dass du auch diese Nischenthemen behandelst! Mach weiter so.
Tonino now offers software that enables the meter to provide readings in Agtron Gourmet.
It doesn't read Agtron, but it interpolates the values and makes an approximation.
The obvious question is how close that approximation is to the reading Lighttells would provide for the same sample. As you have both meters, perhaps you might consider comparing them in this way. It might even make an interesting TH-cam video.@@CoffeeRoasting
@@matthewhoffman6868 The Lighttells is also interpolating its raw sensor readings to the Agtron scale. Even the Agtron devices are doing this. There is no such thing as an AGTRON sensor;). Regarding the approximation error between Tonino and Leighttells we have reported in our post on "Understanding Roast Color" on our results of a rather large experiment also hi lighting some of the technical background: artisan-roasterscope.blogspot.com/2023/03/understanding-roast-color.html
