    Brilliant, I can't believe developers are building parks like this before putting up buildings. The sport has come a long way since the 80s when we had to build our own little rickety jump ramps. • @GrindKingTruckCo
    @GrindKingTruckCo 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    This is Donald Cassel, founder of GrindKing. I invented the inverted kingpin in 1988. The reason inverted kingpins loosen more is because there is more stress placed on the locknut when it is at the bottom vs the top like regular trucks. They also break more easily because the threads are at the bottom of the baseplate and receive more stress as well. This was always the downside of inverted kingpins, until now. Check out the new GK Locker , I added a steel kingpin brace that makes it way stronger and also a "Nut Portal" lol which allows you to easily replace a standard kingpin nut. This is important because on inverted kingpins you should replace the nut more often. The reason is the nylon ring inside the locknut wears out after time. This is true for all locknuts. The trouble with the indy shaft nut which is a copy of the original GK sleeve nut is that you cant replace it easily and it is a custom made part not available in hardware stores. If you want to see details of this design you can go to the Grind King website where I provide detailed diagrams of all the new innovations the Locker has.

    I have Ace 80s and instantly had to swap out the bushings. I see absolutely not benefit to loose trucks if I'm going to wheelbite into a dead stop every time I turn hard. My Ace Classic 44's however, still have the stock bushings and they're pretty firm. I don't know if they're different bushing to the AF1's.

    • @LeonPaxton
      @LeonPaxton 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah dude, they are just waaaay too squirly with the stock bushings in them lol Damn, maybe they updated the formula in these newer ones 🤔

    • @BenBlack_
      @BenBlack_ 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @LeonPaxton I got the 44s way before the 80s! Maybe being a much smaller truck with less leverage has a big effect on it. Either way, the 80s bushings sucked.
